Fish are extinct!

Soo, I've been trying to fish. Alllll day, for a week in-game. I get a few exclamation points, but never a 'Hit!'. I just want to catch some fishies for the community bundles! QQ Am I doing something wrong? I equip the fishing rod, hold left click until the bar is high up, and let go. Then I wait, and waaaait, and waaaaaait. But, no fish.

 

You might already know this, but it never hurts to repeat it: When the exclamation point shows you have to left click to start the fishing mini game. Also, if you are trying to fish on your farm you will only catch bits of trash.

If either of those don't solve the problem please let us know what version of the game you have and if you have any mods installed.
