Hey yol- First off, very impressive game so far; I blasted through pretty quick and really liked a lot of elements of the game

Here are some things that I think would greatly increase the replay value and level of fun of the game-

-BUILDING: While I found building to be a great element in this game, it struck me as being ultimately pointless. I can dig out a crummy hole on a level 1 planet and drop all of my machines down and achieve the same result as someone who creates a fortress, castle, city, etc.
I'd like to see building become more useful, here are my suggestions:
*Invasions; make periodic or summoned waves of monsters appear and try to destroy your buildings, kill your villagers, etc.
*Disasters; im sure it would be a lot of work, but wouldn't it be cool if a volcano, flood, tornado, meteor swarm, etc. could come in and disrupt things a little? And this could be a way to encourage more creative building styles. Rarer/reinforced materials could provide better protection.

-ITEMS: I'd like to see more variability in weapon/armor statistics; ala Diablo II. Right now it seems like item (and therefore player) strength is based on a simple system of 10 tiers, with a wide gulf between the strengths of items of various levels. Therefore, once you have a level 10 weapon or the highest tire of armor, there is no point to seeking out better ones.
I also thought that there wasn't enough variation in the quality of items that you could obtain in a given area; it always feels good to stumble across a rarity when you don't expect to.

CHARACTERS: It'd be cool if there was more variability in how you develop your character. I like the idea of letting characters focus on farming, monster killing, etc. however I think it would be really helpful to also have some kind of skill system so that a character can focus on, say, melee attacks, guns, energy weapons, etc etc.

MORE EVERYTHING: I know you're working on this, but keep it up!

Well I think you'll be happy to know that they're planning to have some sort of "renting" system to rent buildings to NPCs for pixels.
As for your suggestions, I agree with them. You might wanna post some of these things in the suggestions thread.

I have had a meteor shower come in and disrupt things, it wasn't fun. However, being that all my stuff was already in a dwelling on that planet, I did reinforce my structure as well as making quite a large underground labyrinth to protect my things.

That being said, I do agree it could be fun to some, myself included, to have multiple disaster occur periodically that require you to reinforce/modify your dwelling in order to prevent havoc from being wreaked upon said dwelling.

Meteor showers are already in the game. Along with the rest of these.
You should post your suggestions in the suggestions form.
They are planning on some form of renting system for NPCs to get money from building.
Also, if that's your view on building, you probably shouldn't be playing a sandbox game as building cool stuff is kinda an integral part of them. I could easily live out of a hole in minecraft; but what would be the fun in that? I would just get a ton of resources and never explore.

I dislike your disaster one. I hate rebuilding.
But I like your invasion one. The amount of monsters and frequency of attacks can scale with the worth of items in your chests. Hold more money to lure in more money.

Also, combat is going to be reworked somewhat, not sure if it'll mean getting tier 10 means OP still or not, but there will be changes......fun changes if you look at what they're thinking about.
Tier 10 will still be pretty powerful, but it won't be a case of click the attack button as fast as possible, and more of a case of positioning/timing, at least that's what it sounds like.

Invasions would be cool, but not by monsters. Space pirates, possibly?

And this renting system... It's damn easy to get pixels and very hard to use them for anything, so I think there should be some other reasons for building houses for NPC:s.
