If you look HERE you will see that OmnipotentEntity has posted a mirror of the video on his youtube and states clearly in the video info

"The music is from the game"

If that is true, I just lost like half my hype for the game, lol. What if you kill a monster and find out it had some super awesome drop or something on it, with everything being procedurally generated, you may never see that mob again or get the same stats on that great item drop. I know there are going to be tons of planets, but if the procedural generation for things is what we are led to believe, then this may be a problem.

It's great to see footage from the game. Hopefully "Gameplay videos soon(ish)" means within a month or so tops. I really enjoyed the fact he was holding a fish at the beginning of the video. The lighting is spectacular. I'm pretty sure I just fainted. I'm so excited for more updates it's almost killing me inside. :D Amazing music, it fit the setting perfectly. :geek:

The footage is great, the lighting is great, but my god the music!

Do mobs even drop items? I don't know this off hand. If so then to circumvent this problem the drop table could be based off of mob/planet levels instead of individual mobs.

Looking great! I think they've stricken a nice balance between the blocky graphics of the terrain and the gradient shadows.
Aimable flashlight is awesome. It will make an interesting tool for setting atmosphere in the game in terms of underground exploration.

I'm loving the music as well!

To be fair, the same planet will always be at the same coordinates. I think what he meant was that you aren't going to be grinding one planet, you'll want to experience a ton of them for the most loot. But you'll probably be able to go back and get the same thing from the same coordinates.
In which case, up will spring a planet encyclopedia which will list where you can get what kind of gear, what kind of planet, etc. After enough time there may even be a fanmade planet search engine, where you put in what you want from a planet and get the coordinates for it.

That kind of thing will ruin the game for me if I used them, but immediately after release I expect there will be a lot of planet intel swapping.

It's still block based shading. Just more advanced block based shading.

Why was he holding a fish at first? Is it some sort of magical fishy weapon?

My guestion is will we get gaslamps and also fixed area torches that can be deployed perhaps as infared glasses and other lighting sources

It's a fishaxe. It's a silly debugging tool that works like a pickaxe with infinite range and wipes out a 5x5 block of tiles. It's really useful for getting around swiftly underground.

Oooh, makes sense. Thanks for letting me know. :)
Fish weaponry does sound pretty sweet though.

Holy crap. The way the shadows come off the object blocking the light, it's just so smooth! I really hope that there will be some sort of places that give off a "creepy" feeling, like there's something hidden in the darkness. Maybe a monster that's avoids light?

Man that looks really great. lighting can now be used as a decoration as well now. Just think of the cool stuff you could do with directed spotlights, or things of that nature.

I hate my timezone for making me late to the party!

But geez. That lighting is way better than anything I was expecting.
The music was brilliant, with a cold eerie sound then breaking into an amazing melody.
The animations and movement look very fluent.

    What are the system requirements?

The game is still in development at the moment, so the specs are subject to change. But we’ve had good success running it on very old hardware so far!

    I THOUGHT IT WASN'T A LIE!!!!

Oh my god is that a fish in the player's hand at the start?
Yes... I will be able to hold fishes in my hand...
    MUAHAHAHA...
    Oh nevermind... it's a fishaxe.
