Recently I was mucking around in the Starbound folder and had to restore a bunch of files from backup, except for my character saves.
When I loaded my game back up, I found I had to re-do all the starmap upgrades, starting in the alpha-sector again. This didn't bother me so much, but my homeworld became de-selected and I was orbiting a random alpha-sector planet. THIS was a problem because I had all my gear stored in a house on that homeworld. From what I can tell, since my ship still had all its furniture in it, all the world changes my character made haven't been wiped. All I lost were the sector upgrades and home-planet coordinates. I suppose a similar issue could be caused when selecting "set homeworld" on accident.

tl;dr, Is there any way to re-find a (home) world's coordinates after having lost them?
My lost home was on an alpha-sector planet.

I'd like to point out, this thread was posted first.
But, thank you. As it turns out, my home got deleted with that restore. Ah well, at least it would've been wiped anyway in the next few updates.

I posted that solution a month ago, as did several others, and only linked to that thread because it was at the top of the list. So no, your thread wasn't "first" by a long-shot.
