Final wipe?

Hi.

Is there any information about when the famous final wipe will be? Days, weeks, months?

 

We don't know so far, only the devs do.

Pretty sure I read on Reddit that it'll be in the next week.

I could be wrong, though.

 

^^ Hopefully next week, maybe the week after. We should be getting more content with the patch, too. So starting a new char should be fun

 

I think Bartwe mentioned early january on twitter but nothing specific.

 

There was a Steam update set for today, but it was likely just a dev build update.

But something WAS uploaded to the servers for Starbound. SOON?

 

Well the next big patch will be recoding how patches work to make it much less likely to require "character" wipes... but it mentions nothing about world/ship wipes. Since there will still be significant changes to world and ship mechanics and spawns, I'd expect some wipes there before release.

 

Still, no more character wipes!

 

Related to the poll, this forum seems to have a good mixture of moderation and lack of rabid fanbois or haters... especially nice after reading Red-5's forums

Not to rain on anyone's parade but you probably don't want to go to any "hot" topics in general discussion if fanboy's or haters irritate you.

Crazy amounts of moderation, lots of drama, and any feedback not glowing and filled out with the proper government form was labeled as hyperbole at best, vitriol at worst.

Nah I read these forums at lot when I'm at work. IMHO they're just a lot more chill than others that see the same amount of traffic.
