Greetings Please do not implement the system from terraria where you have to make an item in order to fight a boss. The difficulty should be in defeating the boss, not in getting the encounter. The only acceptable degree of difficulty in encountering a boss is in locating it (ie some ancient evil sealed in a cavern miles underground).
I think they will have the bosses always present, as unlike in Terraria you are able to explore a larger area and you aren't building your home on the planet -> the dangerous creatures can roam more freely. Terraria's challenge was limited world size, preventing the newbies from getting into too much trouble as well as trying to add longevity to the game.
I hope the boss mechanincs are diferent and original. Not just spam a weapon I want some patterns like in Castlevania where each boss has a tactic to defeat.
well, considering the Proc-Gen system of generating all the planets, it would stand to reason that you might find a planet of ALL BOSSES! Maybe the Planet IS the Boss! Maybe There isn't a single Boss on the the planet. In a universe of Endless planets.. who really can say?
it'd be cool if the bosses had higher AI like instead of like skeletron swinging his arms around and then spinning they could make it so that they hit you w/ there hands and then get out of your way so you have a harder time hitting w/ melee weopons The normal bosses in terraria were only exciting the first time then it got easy then hardmode and thats still exciting yeah this has probably nothing to do with this
First off.. comparing Terraria to Starbound in anyway, is like Comparing a Yugo to a Chevelle. Sure they're both cars. But are they the same in any other way? But i get where you're headed with that. Better Monsters = More Fun/Bigger Challenges. I agree.
I guess it's time for me to ressurect my idea about planet-sized monsters... Anyway, i don't see a problema about itens calling monsters, only if that's THE ONLY WAY to face them :/
