Fighting back for earth?

I've been thinking this over for quite some time and my question is if we are a human can we go back to earth
and destroy the tentacle monster that was shown in the work in progress human intro video and early screen-shots? (Below are the 2 examples I am talking about)



Maybe this is what earth looks like when you go back to kill the monster?

Maybe this is part of the human storyline and is a main quest you need to do in order to take back the "Jewel of of the human empire"? Then we are able to repopulate the world full of humans and other races? How many of you would carry out this great task and take back earth?
(Remember this is just a thought of mine)

Who knows, that pic was made a lot of time ago. Before even hearing about any lore. Maybe the human intro was inspired by this picture. Who knows.

 

My theory is the 'tentacles' are a plague spreading to planets and Earth was unlucky enough to get hit with this plague. This is why earlier we had tentacle planets announced, I guess as a form of 'boss' planet or high-level planets. Can't be sure though because we don't even know the mechanics behind game leveling and planet levels, all we were told was we will have said planet levels.

 

I, for one, welcome our new tentacle overlords.

 

Humans were defeated by Japanese weird tentacles, all is lost...

 

Maybe every planet is just the egg of giant space squid.

They use stars as incubators, and eventually most planets 'hatch'.

If that's the case, there wouldn't be much hope for there being anything left to restore

My first instinct would be to investigate the tentacles...to learn more about them and why they exist. If they're some kind of bioweapon or just a downright malevolent force of the universe, I'd totally fight back against them. If they're just another life form though, I'm not so sure. If they could be convinced to leave Earth, I'd try to convince them, and put some kind of tentacle repellent on any planet I cared about.

 

I would assume a gigantic planet-sized tentacle-monster would be nearly invulnerable and extremely OP.

But I admire the bravery of those poor souls who stood up against it...

Hehe, appearently, tentacle planet is going to be a common biome just like forest or desert... anyone checked Soundcloud of that Curtis guy?

 

Yeah.. it is also a couple of the track names under the experimental stuff in the official soundtrack.

 

I don't get it, if we have technology to travel over pass the speed of light(or at least in my opinion) why don't we have the technology to fight such creatures like this?
I'm sure some infection spread out killing millions and we humans always find a cure.
So i say we do it spore style:
Freeze the planet with some type of atmosphere sucker or something and then after all life is destroyed maybe we can make a atmosphere generator and put some plants and reestablish life?

it be great if we are able to reclaim our Jewel of of the empire as part of the human quest line and who let the Japanese tentacle get out.
Also why does this remind me of star control 2 mycon and the mass effect reaper.
