Few convenience requests/suggestions

So after playing for a few hours I've come across a few lacking conveniences in Stabound. I'll list my suggestion for these here:

-Option to transfer items to inventory rather than hotbar. Terraria used to place items in the hotbar, I was happy to see that gone and would be happy to see this feature in Starbound too!

-Holding down while walking past stairs makes you go through them rather than climbing. Because sometimes I just wanna run, not go upstairs.

-Ability to place background blocks by using foreground blocks as base. This one is a bit confusing so lemme explain: If I build a house 5 blocks off the ground and wish to place background wood, I can't. I have to connect backgrounds until they are the desired height THEN I can start filling out my house. I find this annoying and would appreciate to see this changed so I can start placing background where the foreground objects are, rather than having to build it from background "floor".

-Shift+Left Click transfer items between container and inventory. Could also use this to sell to shop NPCs.

-Improved Trash window. Clicking the trash opens a litter bin 64 Slot container, you can switch items to and fro as you desire, when you try to close the window it will prompt "Are you sure you wish to destroy these items?" upon confirming it will do so and the items within will be destroyed permanently. There should also be a checkbox to do this without a prompt on the trash window itself.

-Shift+Right Click opens a prompt where you can specify how much you wish to break from a stack. Is there any way to do this already? If not here's the suggestion.

-Early game ranged weapons. Something like a crossbow or a slingshot would be awesome. The hunting bow just won't deal enough damage and has to charge, making it not viable from long range battles.

-NPCs with guns have a small firing delay. Just delay it by a split second to let us dodge, at least on early game enemies.

That's all for the moment. There's plenty of topics on difficulty, and while I agree that the game (Beginning Only) is just right in difficult factor, it does have terrible scaling at the moment.

There are also a few things I saw in the blog, such as grappling hooks and so on. I assume we'll be getting those at some point, hopefully early game too, so I won't comment on those.

Anyone else has anything to add?
