So I just want to preface this entire post with, I'm entirely aware major changes are coming and some of this may or may not be fruitless. I however have just completed the Titanium set of armor and felt like sharing my feedback for what this experience was like. OH I also realize this is Beta so there is a LOT to come and changes to be made.

    World:
First off the thing that stranded out to me the most about Starbound was the diversity with Biomes, Events and Dungeons. Each of these were impressive and pretty unique. I was very happy to see each of these appear in the worlds my friends and I adventured. The downside to each though, was once i had seen them i knew what type of "boss" to expect. In most cases there was no climax to these areas they were just interesting to explore. I would love to see , say a Fungus giant enemy in the Mushroom biome. Having biomes and dungeons have unique enemies like the sewers do would be pretty grand. Even if they alternated appearing or not.

    Equipement:
When it came to advancement I found it odd that for levels 1 - 30 i was crafting equipment every 10 levels per say. Once I reached 30 it was then 30 , 32, 34 and then Titanium. Essentially i entirely skipped 32 and onward and just spent resources to build Titanium. I often was swapping out weapons the moment i obtained something with Greater Armor Penetration.
OH! Also, it's very unfortunate that Melee weapons don't follow your mouse and instead just swing in front of you. This makes lances less use able for me in many instances.
The L / R system is AWESOME! Love it and am so happy that it exist, i'm also ashamed i never thought of it myself.

It seemed unfortunate that equipment only provided basic stats and there weren't different sets for different tiers to give you reasons to play a different style.

    Ore:
This should be short, esentially it boils down to the fact that Platinum does not exist until level 40. This was weird very very weird. Also it looks WAY too similar to Silver.
The Ores used for Fuel didn't provide nearly as much fuel for their rarity, i'd be better off farming Coal because how much you can find when searching for it.

    Items:
I found several one time use items like the Pheonix Badge and the Energy lance, they are really cool but since i cannot craft them or turn them into blueprints... i never want to use them because i have so few of them. Their tooltips also don't share that they are 1 time use.

    Bosses:
The Penguin boss was the best, very interesting fight with unique mechanics and ADORABLE (evil) adds.

The Robot had interesting movement and cool movement, however didn't really do much else besides a flamethrower, he also would get stuck behind 2 blocks and not fire flames and let himself get beat to death.

The Dragon was the easiest of them all. Dodging his fireballs was simple and he didn't do much but hover slowly back and forth. I was expecting more like swooping down and attacking with talons, and i was hoping he'd break apart like the UFO did when he took damage. Maybe cracking ribs and what not.

Also, every boss simply drops an advancement item, which is cool but some loot would be nice. Give them loot and make them more challenging so they cannot be simply destroyed with weapons higher level than them and id love to keep fighting them.
I also feel it'd be really neat to have bosses (not the advancement bosses) that can spawn in the world and cause havok with unique mechanics and attacks. (not the mini bosses as they simply just act like stronger mobs)

    Combat:
I almost forgot to post this, my combat strat for higher level planets has literally become, encase enemies in blocks and either avoid or destroy them. It doesn't seem fees-able to try and fight them especially with how powerful their ranged weapons are. It's also difficult to dodge the automatic weapons, oh and those snipers 1 shot destroy me. This block strategy seems to work on EVERYTHING in the game.. which kind of marginalizes things.

    End:

I enjoyed what i experienced and really loved the lore touches on the races, this actually caused me to slaughter all avians because they would trash talk me all the time. I enjoyed trying to farm crops to cook different foods, which would be cool if they gave a food buff since you could just eat the raw food anyway why make the pie?
I'm seriously looking forward for what's to come.
