Favorite race? (and why?)

They can currently kill all the races in combat, which is why they've been so successful despite being low tech.

They are also incredibly adaptive genetically. However, however attempting to become literate hasn't gone the best for them.

 

Apex, because Planet of the Apes was one of my favorite Sci-Fi movies as a kid and I love their scientific culture and advanced technology.

 

speaking outside their native tongue may be a bit difficult to them. We can't even fathom what is going on inside those little thing's mouths, much less their bodies.

Skill in combat is an aquired thing really. A well trained Apex soldier would be able to gun down an unskilled Floran in no time.

 

Well I was more referring to specific instances in the codexes but left out the details because you made a post specifically about trying to find those things on your own ;P

 

I dunno. I still like wiping out every Floran settlement I come across. It makes my fishman happy.

 

Fair enough. I just have a hard time believing that one race trumps all in combat because reasons.

 

I love all races equally.

... Okay no, I like playing Human, but I think I'm growing fond of the Hylotl. They got that whole tao thing goin' on...

 

Currently, I'm enjoying human, though I find myself growing more and more interested in the Glitch. I'm really looking forward to the Novakids though; I've always liked the idea of beings made of pure energy.

I will say this though: I'm rather surprised there isn't an insectoid race in the works.

 

Glitch, because I hate having a human body and I love the medieval theme.

I love Florans. Right now, I like them because they are so simple-minded and stabby.

The novelty may eventually wear off, and I'm sure I will have other characters, but they're just so fun. Strangely enough, I really like the Hylotl Impervium weapon graphics, they're my favorite. Of course, having a Floran wielding Hylotl weaponry is a big odd, but I'm sure weirder things (BRAWW's suggestions in the AMA) have happened.

 

I do the same. Florans are too dangerous to spread. Avians (acording to lore) are responsible with them getting FTL travel in the first place, so it's our job to keep them under control.

 

agreed, their dangerous, illiterate and quite frankly, don't taste very nice
