Favorite race? (and why?)

It's difficult for me. I like the Floran aesthetic but I hate their lore and description text. I like Humans just as a baseline race of course, and I like Hylotl for their asian influence and part of their lore.

 

Florans, have you ever read some of their descriptions? My favorite is the robotic crafting table. "Floran once got in fight with table like this before" and some of the lore is funny too. "-- The glitch peasants and a random floran who decided to join in out of choice started pulling the parade floats"

Fine I like humans because they are idiots who take alien babies with them, even though it's the species that took over earth. As the lore shows that is not a wise choice. Also apparently they are against hunting.

I know, honestly why I love them. In that same parade one of the florans stabbed the "king" just cause he felt like it. He was honored for finding out the king was a penguin, and then exiled because killing kings is bad.

The dialog from the Florans gets me every time. It's hard not to like them because of it. xD

 

Ive been sold on the Avians ever since i sat and spammed the random name generator a few times...

Florans are the only race I've really gotten to know, seeing as I am one. But I do like the Glitch and the Apex's lore.

 

Florian personalities make me laugh.

I love the Glitch armor/building design and lore.

Novakid race design makes me happy and I want to play one.

 

I kinda dig the idea of novakids and after that I like the glitch.

 

Florans have the best lines so far in the game, especially anything to do with fire.
They also have the best random names on average.

 

Humans for me.

Because we as a species are a plauge we devour and destroy all that comes into contact with us and leave nothing but salted earth and remains behind

Plus the human prison and research facilities are bad ass.

 

I love them all for different reasons. They are all very interesting and colorful in their own way, but if I were to select a favorite, and my opinion will change tomorrow, its the Glitch with the Floran a close second.

I love the way they speak as it is a direct reference to HK-47. I love their story of breaking off the hivemind and finding their new found freedom bewildering, and a bit frightening. They are quiet, observant, and humble. They give the best investigation dialogue in my opinion. I love robots in general, and the idea of a sentient one. The one thing I don't like is the medieval styling. I wish there was another line of armors that focused more on the use of their already strong metallic shells and instead just added to it. For the time being I will use other armors in the vanity slot if it is too medieval for my liking.

But I can't help but like the others as well.

i pretty much value those 4 all the same but i really dislike glitch and apex. why? because their female charakters arent as cute! bäm

 

Honestly the only race I DON'T like is Florans. Some people like the whole braindead tribal thing, but the "Floran this" and "Floran that" and "Hurp durp Floran try to eat robot once" makes me want to punch all their babies and then burn their village down. I actually did dismantle one once because the tall-assed towers were in my restricted airspace.

 

They are a very young race with a world of things to learn about in a big galaxy. That's why I like them. Also their aptitude to re-engineer tech is really cool and useful. Makes me wonder about when Florans actually do integrate into society will they use those skills to be the universe's best mechanics. I really think that within a hundred years the Florans could be the most intelligent race in exsistence at the pace they are learning and adapting.

 

If they don't piss everyone off and get burned to the ground first, sure. Could really go either way.

 

learning and adapting does not mean creating new tech. think about todays computers. they cant create new knowledge but can "learn" everything almost instantly (no AI in theory)
