Favorite race? (and why?)

I've seen a lot of talk of lore and stuff, and am personally getting into it myself, and think that lore subforum idea was very good. But for now, I'll just make this thread where I encourage you to share humorous things you find about a race.

I personally, absolutely love the florans, exactly for things like this:
"Recently, I contacted my old friend Greenfinger. As usual, he came through for me, and provided me with what I asked for. Ten angry, rabid Florans, out for a fight. I questioned him as to whether they were prisoners, and he said no, they were just bored.",

"I attempted to brief the Florans on how the battle should go down, but I don't think I got through to them. In fact, I narrowly avoided being impaled by a rogue Floran spear. Greenfinger did warn me, I suppose. Tomorrow, they shall fight my Apex."

"Well that's that experiment over for now. Nine Florans remain, and no Apex. And I don't just mean the citizens either, the Miniknog guards fell afoul of the Floran menace too."

 

Avians. I really like their Mayan-inspired culture.. And they're bird-men, so that's cool too.

 

Avians. They look really nice, and they have a pretty cool lore surrounding them.

 

Avians. I love the Aztec/Mayan culture, and they just reminds me so much of 'Eagle Warriors'.

At first avians which is totally not obvious by my avatar.
But after having my first character die fatally and the save file corrupt through a horrific blue screen accident, I've come to become quite fond of my new character's race, the hylotl. I really like the ship, their aesthetics and just the personality of hylotls. They're quite peaceful and seem like a really reasonable race. As a side effect I don't really like Florans anymore haha, every one I go pass either wants to stab me or comment on how hylotl eyes are delicious.

 

I love the glitch! Being stuck in the medieval times as well as their structures and decorations are all awesome! I have yet to find a full glitch town, but maybe i will soon! lol

Edit: I also love their singing voices!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just amazing lol.

 

Started as human, tried my secondary choice Apex at some point. Now I will be playing Apex for sure. I love their ape sounds.

 

Novakids, yes they aren't a playable race yet but space cowboys. SPACE COWBOYS.

 

Yeah the florans tend to stab and eat a lot. But I've been reading a bunch of the lore and the hylotl seem at least somewhat friendly with the florans. (The hylotl being nature lovers and all).

 

I vote Glitch.

1) Their "hurt noise" is -in my opinion- the best.
2) The medieval setting.
3) Their eyes when you eat some of that delicious carrot bread!

 

I think mine are the florans because their respawn thing is kinda cool. I realise its a strange reason but yeah

 

My favorite race always has been and will be the Florans. Not entirely sure why I think I just like the idea of a carnivorous plant whose main goal in life is to eat all the aliens it can.

also @Inconspicuous I recently found several fish tanks and my Floran was very sad that there were no Hylotl in them

 

You would think that but with the comments my hylotl has made on florans and their decor, they pretty much hate them. Mine said something about florans being a violent race that should be eradicated for peats sake. (I think it was when I investigated the floran skull on spikes object).

 

Actually, the Hylotls hate the Florans for taking their home planet away from them >n>;;;

 

Avians. Being a bird-man is awesome. Their ships are also... Interesting, to say the least.

 

It's a tie between Hylotl and Glitch, although Novakids are probably gonna take over when they're released.

 

I love the lore of all the races. But for some reason I only like playing as a human. I guess the human mech and armour design has a lot to do with it.

 

Glitch because they are robots. Hylotls are a close second because of their (Current) final armor that looks like this in green:

 

This. The sound they make when they take dmg crack me up. =D Also their looks arent really bad. Also like the look of the spaceship.

Second choice would be hylotl. Love the armor styles.
