Bug/Issue Fatal Error: Access violation

Gday ive been try to play starbound again but am receiving fatal errors before the game even loads

Ive done the whole validate , clean uninstall , steam workshop wipe, driver update thing but nothing seems to work any info would be greatly appreciated

Hmm... Have you try reinstalling the Starbound?

How about try to reinstalling your OS, maybe there are some system files corrupted by malware or virus and it affect the games. You are using Steam, right? It means you are online. There is chance that the virus or malware may attack your computer. Or maybe, try to update your DirectX. Try my second advice first, if you want to try my first advice, please reconsider it first and don't forget to backup your important documents first before reinstalling your OS. Sorry if my first advice is a bit demanding.

 

Thanks for the help but its not worth trying to reinstall windows

Id ask for a mod to close the thread but if there were any mods they would check the error code with their support package or ask the devs and the problem would be resolved

 

many many many ppl are getting this error (almost been seeing it daily) and without any other info the error code does not help us at all. The staff (and non-staff me) are trying their best to help when they can.
