Hey guys, Avian here! Another quick question! Ok, I'm far at this and please don't Facepalm but... How do you farm as when I do it I only get seeds? :proper:

you interact with the plant, not mine/chop it.

that is interaction using the "e" key or middle mouse button (unless you've changed controls from default)

Do you wait long enough for the plant to fully develop it's fruit? It can take a while.

dont worry, i expected to have to cut the plants myself. it took me 5 or so plantings to notice that the plants glowed when i mouseovered them.

They really need to create a tutorial explaining it. I mean I figured it out because I'm used to noticing such things and hitting the use button, but it's not exactly obvious to a lot of people just starting out.

To expand on this a bit, you can hold down the Alt key to find all things that you can interact with using the default E key. This is an amazingly helpful key when exploring as well. It will highlight chests, flowers, plants, doors, wiring objects. The highlight is a very faint, slow-blinking glow. It's especially effective when you are in a dimly lit area and/or in an area that has dark-colored translucent water, like a tar biome and it's dark purplish waters or even the magma/volcanic biomes. There are chests inside these pools you can get to. The lava/magma ones are a fun challenge. If they are shallow enough below the surface, you can drain the damaging waters to get to the chest safely, being able to loot it even though it's still submerged if you can get close enough, even through dirt (as in, digging below the liquid and leaving a block or 2 width separating you). Also, holding it down will reveal your hunger meter.
