Breaking news!!! Peter Molyneux has been confirmed to be the new head designer of Starbound!!! He announced that Starbound will now have much more content that originally intended, including, but not limited to:
- first, second, third, and fourth-person mode!
- 183 playabale races with unique storylines and over 9000 endings!
- +17 693 000 different kinds of blocks that come in 2357837688900³ shades of colour!
- Over 15 000 000 000 hours worth of gameplay!

But of course this means that the realease date has to be set at a bit more realistic time. Peter said the game will be ready in about 3 minutes. That can't possibly go wrong!

Most of Starbound is finished, but after including black holes the realistic physics engine caused all of the code to become scrambled and the release date has been set back indefinitely.

Tiy JUST told me he's about to publicly announce that he is now having a kid, and therefore can no longer further develop Starbound.

The rest of the development team seems to have moved on to a game called "Terraria". I might check that out.

The Dev teams perseverance is leading them to remake the game from scratch, but the release date has been pushed back another year.
