Im not the best artist and dont know how to sprite and other technological stuff so i hand did everything but i worked hard on this and i am happy with what i came up with If you do not want to read all of the text be sure to read at least Game and look at the pictures to get the important stuff. So ---------- Lore ----------The Darkstalkers were an experimental project to create the perfect guard beast. However it went wrong. Because of their premature breakout the Darkstalkers went crazy doing actions based on instinct instead of orders. They escaped from the ship and began to reproduce. The basic dark stalkers preferred dark areas because their eye are very sensitive to light. However something very strange happend. Many of the Darkstalkers started to adapt to their surroundings and evolved to accommodate for them. Some learned to fly some learned to swim and some even turned into machines. This evolution happend very rapidly. A basic Darkstalker could start to fly in less than one generation. Now four different bread of Darkstalkers rome the stars. ---------- Details ----------*NOTE Most of the details given are for the basic cave form. The Evolutions share similar qualities. There will be an "Adapt and Evolve" section to find out more about the different evolutions > Description- Darkstalkers are small nimble four legged creatures about the size of a large dog. On their face is a crest that takes in light heat smell and sound. A large spike points out of it back. Scientist do not know what the purpose of this spike is but it has been noticed that the spike plays a huge role in its evolution. The Darkstalker has small spike like legs that are only used for running. The Darkstalker's most notorius detal is its large powerful tail. at the end of the tail is a large diamond shaped spike. The Darkstalker's tail is very useful. It can propel it high up into the air as its main form of pouncing. It uses its tail to attack enemies. On its body there are white paters that glow for diffrent emotions and when it is about to strike. although it is hard to notice when closed Darkstalkers have a mouth used for eating. Darkstalkers are black and white. (pictures below) > Attacking- Darkstalkers react on instinct. They will attack if they think you are a threat or if they want to eat you. Darkstalker are mainly hostile. Basic Cave Form- Stabs at you with large tail spike. They can climb on walls and jump on you to ensure a kill Mech Form- Basically the same thing as the basic one except Mechs can electrocute you but they cant bite. Ventus Form- Hooks you If thats not enough drops you from high up Aqua Form- Stabs with Tridents There are two so its harder to dodge but also not as deadly ---------- Adapt and Evolve ----------The Darkstalker's most unique ability is its ability to adapt and evolve to the surrounding area. This ability has taken four forms: Basic, Mech, Ventus, and Aqua. The evolutions happen quickly but not instantaneously. The forms described are the fully evolved forms. Through the process there will be variations. For example one ventus could get fully grow wings quicker but another gets a beak shaped head faster. The evolutions build on each other which means that there is an order in which evolutions occur. For example you will never see a young ventus with no wing but already have an hook tail because the hook tail is used for flight. If it cant fly yet there is no need for a hook so there it will not evolve first. Here is a chart showing the approximate order of evolution. The longer the ----> means the longer it takes to get fully grown. * means that they can happen in a diffrent order and ** mean they need to happen at the same time. Mech> ------------> Metal Skin **>Sealed Mouth **>Lightning Rod Ventus> --------*-----> Wings *-------> Beak *-------> Hook Tail Aqua> *-->gills *--------------------> Split Tails ---*-> Dorsal Fin -----> Fins Here is a list of habits that can cause an evolution. *NOTE a Darkstalker can turn back into its basic cave form but it is very difficult and very unlikely. Basic- Lives in caves and under ground Eats rocks and cave animals Stays in darkness Mech- Lives in abandoned cities crash sites or anywhere else there is a lot of electrical scrap Uses spikes to absorb energy Evolves by exposure to electronics and eating of electronics like wires and metals Ventus- Lives in high places like cliffs and trees Eats insects and other flying animals Evolves basically by its own desire to fly and the necessity to fly base on the environment it is in. Aqua- Lives in water (not only ocean) Eats fish and other water creatures Evolves from being in the water Picture Time -+-+-+-+- Game -+-+-+-+- As you know Darkstalkers are good at adapting and evolving. This can be applied in adding this monster to the game. The game play mechanics of dark stalkers can change to accommodate for what the game needs. I intended Darkstalkers to be a pack or swarming enemy but it will also work as a lone wolf type enemy. Darkstalkers can be an epic monster or basic monster depending on how much attack and health you want to give it. If there are new environments there can be new Darkstalkers like ice and fire or corrupted and hallow ect. Darkstalkers can also have the possibility of a progressively stronger growing monster. Since Darkstalkers addapt and evolve to survive it can learn a players fighting style through combat and evolve into a counter to the player.
