    With an upcoming future plans of Merchants increasing the value of their goods based on the status of their village.
    I was thinking their could be some improvement on those lines.

    I think one way to make a village valuable and useful is to make it a pixel trap. A reason to constantly go back to the village.
    The more money spent on the merchant the more money the "village" has
    Each village should contain 2 types of traps, a goods trap and a pixel trap.

    PIXEL TRAP
    The Economy of a city is based on how much money is available to it. So as you spend more money in the village the city has more funds to get better equipment.

    GOODS TRAP
    As more money becomes available to the village the villagers request more goods. The more goods they get they use it to create new houses \ buildings \ etc. This in turn would increase the the wealth of the village and allow more goods to be available.

    ========================
    TO SUMMARIZE
    Buy things from village --> village has more money --> people in village requests more items --> village grows --> merchant has more things.

    ========================
    I also feel to make things interesting each village have a limit to how much they can grow.
    Also what goods they offer. So the goods are based on the Planet Level [So Tier 3 planets may offer goods for Tier 2 3 4] The species of the village, and type of planet.

    Makes sense yes, I would quite like to see this instead of going to a planet with a village and you were just looking at some weapons (Not buying anything) and leaving for a few days and coming back to it because you needed supplies and suddenly they've grown 5x their size regardless of you not giving them money.

    Point is this system is far superior. But how much money would someone have to spend for them to expand? And how much would they expand? Maybe somewhere around 2-3 houses and one extra food merchant for tier 2 villages?

    It really matters how much further system can be pushed.
    What would be amazing is if the village could specialize in a particular type of goods.

    For example a plains type planet focusing on farming. So you can buy goods on such planets cheaper.
    Then selling those goods to another planet - say arrid planet where they lack necessary food supplies for a higher price.

    Hence you have accomplished 2 things.
    1. You have bought goods and infused money into the economy
    2. You have given goods and improved another villages status.

    Ahh yes, so that way you could be that planets hero if you save them from starvation by doing what you said (Bringing food for the plains village to the arid planet) It would be even better if after a while of you helping them a lot they built a statue of your default race type in their village center (Making an exact replica of your character in statue form might be too much of a challenge to implement that's why I said default race type. As in the default Avian/Floran before they're customized) Just a thought though because you might want fame and gratitude over more supplies.

    I like this, and maybe even you can defend a planet/satelite from ships and they might reward you or give you a discount (once space battles and whatnot are implemented).

    ya - its open to a lot of opportunities for event style missions also.
    I am hoping something similar to this is implemented. Instead of generic 20 days later village grows magically.
    In this case villages grown on your effort. Making you feel as if you accomplished something.

    I agree with this topic we want games that evolve around us, now lets say a lot of people has been coming to this planet because it has a great economy, but guess what pirates are now going to raid this town or village because they are doing so great or a neighboring planet that is not doing that well.

    And then you buy guns from the pirates and fend off the villagers and start a new PIRATE TOWN :D Yayayay

    Pretty much everything would have to be based on simple logic of economy. They have more than us lets pillage them and they don't have to be necessarily pirates raiding a planet. You just came to that floran town last night, but guess what u come back to the same village and you see apex guards have taken control over that village. What do you want to do, start trading with apex and do quests for them or do you want to help florans rebel and take over their home planet, oh and guess what florans are so thankful you are getting a discount from every merchant on this planet.

    -cough- Or pirates, maybe become King of the Pirates, hmmmmmmm?
    But seriously yea that'd be good, maybe take into account which species tend to hate each other as well.

    Sorry but that would require you to find the One Piece.

    Perhaps, or perhaps I only need to sail to Raftel, the last island.
