As the topic's title may suggest, there is quite a bit I've recently been looking into about Arid Biome planets as of late, most of which I noted has not been added to the Wiki. I was tempted to ammend it myself, but decided against it, instead electing to make the needed corrections apperent to someone more skilled at being able to perform the task. The first, and most apparent to anyone who should ever travel to an Arid planet, is the lack of any mention to the planet's now rather iconic Thorn Fruit in the Crops section. I understand that they do not quite count as a farmable plant, as they do not drop any seeds, but they are still considered a crop. At least, as far as the Wiki itself explains. I have also found Currentcorn on the planet, though much more rare than the planet's seemingly indiginous Thorn Fruit. The next is the oh so elusive Rainbow, or Colourful, mini biome. At least, I assumed it elusive, considering I was searching for it on Desert Biome planets, as the Wiki currently states is their location. So imagine my surprise when I found one on an Arid Biome planet, and have found one on nearly every Arid planet since. I now, gleefully, am able to add rainbow wood to my tree farm's collection. Actually, speaking of Colourful Biomes, it should also be noted that Grapes appear to be growing aplenty there. Now, I cannot proove a negative, but from my research, it appears that the sudden influx of grape vines has choked out the prior Glowmelon residents. I do not suspect they be driven to extinction as a result, but I suspect they may have been forced out of their afformentioned colourful home. This is all I have noted as of late, but this updated information warrents further investigation of these Arid planets. As I have already helped everyone in the Outpost to the best of my ability, I see no reason for me to discontinue my research for the time being. Should I find anything new, I will be sure to report back my findings. In the meantime, I hope someone recieves this and is able to ammend the archives in my stead. Remember, fellow Starbound adventurers, keep on flying, and do not stop until you reach Avos' sky. Sincerely, Inner Blaze
There have been a bunch of biome changes. I've updated the wiki with new info, but haven't pushed/saved yet. The 'disabled' biomes should be sorted out tonight on there.
Not a problem, fellow starbound explorer! This strange universe seems to shift every once in a while, so I am happy to share my findings to better educate people not quite as adventurous as myself.
I actually didn't know the rainbow wood was "rare" sadly I trashed the wood and saplings because I'd dont build homeS
Oh, they aren't. It's simply that the wiki logs were not up to date, making them appear rare to anyone trying to search for them on desert planets. Thankfully, I found their new, migrated location, and decided it best to share my findings.
