Closed Ever since the latest patch, Starbound has been crashing on my Mac.

As said above in title, I've not been able to play Starbound since the most recent patch. I have posted this on the Steam community hub as well, and know I am not the only one, but people don't seem to know how to remedy it.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, as well as verifying my game cache, but to no avail. The OSX version seems to just be continually crashing for me, never getting past the loading screen, after the Chucklefish logo.

It worked perfectly fine for me prior to this latest patch on my Mac, so if anyone could help me out, I'd be most appreciative! Cheers in advance.

 

1. Update to the newest OS X ( If you haven't yet).
2. Disable Steam Overlay For Starbound,
3. If The problem persists, delete player folder and try again.
* 3 will delete your characters.

 

If someone hasn't been able to launch it at all since the update, ③ is correct. Delete both the player/ and universe/

 

Can confirm, works after that.
