Uh oh, I hadn't realized someone else was doing egypt themed, well, I suppose we are rivals, though you've whooped me on the sprite thing.
Thanks. But they're actually mostly just recolored stuff. I only changed a few things like the skull in the curtains, it used to be a moon Heres some wood EDIT: Maybe it's actually a bit too bright. I dont know, could be changed easily
That's a pretty neat idea. Maybe they were engineered by a long-dead race of creatures made from stone who they inherit their egypt-like culture and architechture from, and using the astrological knowledge they had gained, they had made some sort of prediction that their planet was in grave danger, so they've designed a defense grid out of some of their creators' old structures.
Yes! I'd probably need someone to rewrite the lore I think, I'm not motivated to do write anything at the moment
i like this race beter than the ones in the game currently not saying that they are bad just saying that yours is really good
I think the whole colorfulness thing resembles Novakids too much... but idea of "undead" race is rather intresting... maybe instead of having those generic bright colours, gift them something more gloomy, like darker bluish / purple colours, dark grey, dark green, and so on?
I found some of the official sprites and then i modified them and made some with the same style. Thanks! Yes, i've thougt of this. But I really havent found any time to do so.
Hmm, living Dust doesn't sound bad. Could be Dust imbued with Cosmic or Ethereal Essence thus giving them sentience somehow, and you could keep the bandaged look with the reason of them using it to hold themselves togethor into a more Humanoid shape (as dust would likely fall into more of a pile than a Person). And with the whole Cosmic essence thing you can still keep some of their initial design and glowyness, Could possibly keep the name then too.
Had a thought, the "Death" of one of the Ethereals would be their Cosmic or Ethereal Essence(If you go with the Dust idea) dissipating causing the Ethereal to fall apart into a pile of inert dust which is then placed into one of those Urns you designed
