Wow.... just wow.... Good read. Love this statement: "All it took was nearly life-ruining levels of obsessiveness." Sounds like my every-day experience playing it! haha
    Very very impressive.

I've always had issues with some things the game does wrong, but I've overlooked them because there is so much it does right. After reading that article all I can say is 'Wow!' I am so completely impressed by CA's dedication to bringing SDV to life. Those issues are still there, but I don't care. You Go Eric!

Fun read. Just improves my opinion of Eric.

And now we know where he got the wood-chopping sound bites from! :)

You know, after going over it again... does anyone else kind of get the feeling he's done with SDV and doesn't want to think about it or deal with it now? He burned out and is kind of 'finished' with it? I got the impression he only is grudgingly doing the multiplayer aspect because he trapped himself into it with comments a few years ago.
            Can't shake that feeling... hmmmm.

No one likes to be creatively boxed in, and CA is limited in what he can do with Stardew at this point due to the original design and the expectations of the fans. It's probably not that he feels forced, it's probably just that he's more excited about the mysterious new project the article mentions, and he's giving most of his creative energies to that right now. He's entitled, he's spent about a fifth of his life working on Stardew Valley, and he wants to explore something new. I wish him all the best and hope his new project is made with the same care and attention to detail that won so many people over to Stardew Valley!
