Erchius facility's pet (spoil)

Remember the first boss, when you go down ?
There was a small way where you couldn't go. I came back there, with a wiring tool, the targeted blink, and my rocket boots. I saw that there were two levers to find, that you can only get with blink and rocket boots. So, i found them (not gonna show you were they're, it would be to easy ) and a mining hatch openned. Under, there was a black cat, waiting there, and a capture pod in a mining chest. I took the capture pod, threw it at the cat and... i got a filled capture pod. Then i came back to my ship, and trew it. Now I have a little friend in my ship !

So here is a way to have a very cute cat. (oh, and by the way if anyone said this before, i didn't see the thread so, excuse me for this one that is spoiling and spamming :/).

 

Do animals save right in your ship and are always there?

 

As far as I'm aware, they will always save wherever you throw them and won't despawn unless killed or recaptured again.

As a matter of fact, I found an accidental way to kill my pet cat (whoops!) and rather than outright disappearing, it popped into a Capture Pod and could be thrown right back out.

 

Your kitty and other critters save with your ship, just like any other NPCs you spawn inside it. So yes, your Erchius Kitty will be with you no matter where you go, in your universe or others.

Since I play a hylotl character and fill myship with water, I have always want to keep a pet fish. But seems like chicken, they can't be captured.

 

You could always do /admin followed by /spawnmonster fish and /spawnmonster chicken! I think you can also spawn dogs/cats but I haven't found the command for it yet. (Also /spawnnpc penguin villager spawns a little penguin, I have one on my ship.)

Hi everyone ! I see that this cat won't stay alone anymore ^^

I've been searching in the other missions that are available for me (I can do Weapon testing site) and there was no pets, or maybe I missed something. Anyway, I hope you enjoy having the cat (pretty, isn't it?) and I hope you have a good game in the Starbound Universe
