Okay, I had this idea after reading a couple suggestions about scuba diving and I was inspired since I plan to play as Hylotl.
    Racial Environments

Basically, depending on which race you're playing as, depending on the biome/environment you're in, your character gains advantages/disadvantages.

For example, if I was a Hylotl being chased by, I dunno, some angry Novakid in a frozen ocean, I could escape because I have an advantage. I break the ice and jump in the water. As Hylotl, I have the ability to breathe underwater and depending on my skin color, I could also blend in with the water, effectively evading my pursuer and possibly disappearing.

    Here's a list!

Human - Humans have the advantages of being adaptable. They thrive in normal environments, and don't require extremes.
    Basically they're fine with whatever.

Apex - Being apes, Apex thrive in jungles and areas with a lot of vines, branches and generally the opposite of open space.
    Pros
-Can move faster and jump higher near trees
-Attacks do less damage in this environment
    Cons
-Dislikes open space, moves slightly slower

Avian - Being birds, Avians thrive at high altitudes and at fast speeds. They were born to fly!
    Pros
-Can jump higher the higher they go.
-Negates fall damage at high altitudes.
    Cons
    -Less agility on low ground

Floran - Being plants, Florans thrive in thick, overgrown areas, making living in trees or even outside suitable for them.
    Pros
-Camouflages with overgrown backgrounds and trees
-Attacks do more damage when camouflaged
    Cons
    -Moves slower in overgrown areas
-Weakness to fire and hot areas

Hylotl - Being fish, Hylotl belong underwater, and often make their houses there simply because this is where they are most comfortable.
    Pros
    -Waterbreathing
    -Faster speed underwater
    -Blends in with murky water
    -Better vision underwater
    Cons
-Have to hold breath abovewater without fishtank/breathing gear (starting gear?)

Glitch - Being robotic, the Glitch's hardened metal exoskeleton makes them immune to warmer and colder climates.
    Pros
    -Instantly adaptable

Novakid - Being made of stars, their bodies emit a massive amount of heat, and they thrive in hot environments.
    Pros
-Being in a heated area restores their health rapidly
-Attacks do more damage in hot areas
    -Can swim in lava
    Cons
-Extremely hazardous to be in cold climates, they are weak and slowly loss health
-Jumping in any water other than boiling makes their health rapidly decline

Certainly an interesting concept, although I think it would affect the race choices of people a little bit too much. I mean for example, if i like how the Novakid look, but any other races advantages are better suited for how I'm going to play although I hate how, for example the Apex look, kind of forces me to play that race.(Well maybe not FORCES, but it would certainly be A LOT harder to decide which race to play.)

    Dude, no.
Sigh, im so bored of this kind of thread i dont even get angry anymore. Go and use the search button yourself, is over there, im not gonna bother to do so, but racials are confirmed as not in game, there are race specific items, but all races can get them later on.

This is a suggestion thread, not a STUFF THAT IS IN THE GAME thread.

Yeah but hes suggesting someone that devs theirselves have asked not to be suggested since is confirmed not to be in game.

Well I just thought it would be cool, so I suggested it. Not looking for hate.

The racial armors act as the bonus already so this suggestion is not necessary.

Not hate, just tired, because on a single day there can perfectly be three threads which are about confirmed stuff/repeated/dont include any useful info/are for trolling purpose.

It's certainly not a bad suggestion, just has some minor flaws and the like, there should be no major negatives to any specific class, and the Glitch and Human are relatively the same, only that the Glitch not only look cooler, but also adapt to the extreme's very well, thus making them the most superior of all the classes as they adapt the easiest.

After a bit of reading and looking around myself, Sarzael is right about this being suggested a few too many times and that it's already confirmed not to be in game, but your spirit is in the right place.

It is a nice suggestion and all, but I personally would dislike to see this feature in the game.
Often, when I see a suggestion I don't like, I ignore it. But now, as if this gets implemented, it will affect me personally. That's why I have to tell that I don't like this suggestion, and it shouldn't be implemented.

On the other hand, if it does, it'll prove some nice situations in roleplay AND in PVP.

I approbe of humans racial being added to all the races.

  13. I find madness that the races are just Vanity, in terms of gameplay there is nothing more than vanity in races. So far the devs idea this will never be implemented.

One example of the problem of this:
    - Why do Glitch drown if they are robots waterproof? (otherwise they would "die" in touch with water)

It does bug me too, at first, when I seen the character creation bit on this site, I messed around with it and was glad to see how diverse it allowed you to be... And right away asked this: "Oh! So they're fish people? I bet they can breath underwater, I wonder what all the other races can do!" I questioned why at the very least each class didn't have one 'bonus' thing to them, even if it was slight as being able to breath underwater.

Being able to breath underwater is not slight. Is a huge advantage.
And the race does affect massively the early game, on which you will be using mainly objects of your own race.

That is what the armours are for, if you read their abilities, you would know that the Hylotl armour makes them breathe underwater, including other races that wear it. they made it so the armours give the advantage, not the race, that way you could choose the race you liked, not the race that you liked the effects of.

Hmm guess people summed it up, we got the armors so yeah.

If glitch are immune... but they're conductors... Does that mean I can super heat my glitch like a stove and punch people with my burning red fists?

    NovaTheKid Big Damn Hero

i know that races will only benefit from they're armor, but i see one problem, and with my favorite race. Novakids are not made of stars, they are made of gas, which, depending on what gas, could in fact be flammable. i know the hot, western environment is were they would live, but heat could possibly make them explode. swimming in lava is even worse.

Even if this particular suggestion was to be implemented, your way of going about it is horribly unbalanced D:

-Hylotl have to hold their breath when not in water? That's EXTREMELY limiting, I doubt there's gonna be more water than land, and that's a much more massive con than any other's. This would STRONGLY discourage many people from playing them.
-Glitch & Human are basically the same way in the way you put it, only Glitch adapt instantly to the more extremes.. Making them overall better.
-Novakid not being able to enter water / cold climates is also extremely limited, what if the person likes the Novakid, but also wants a little log cottage in the snow forests? A choice like race should never limit where you can go (E.G. Biomes)
-Florans, Again, with the biome limiting. What if they wanna be a red lava floran living in a magma biome?
-All the races have a con except for Humans and Glitch. :I
-Avians, If they can jump higher the higher they go.. I think that's already going to be in, for all races, in a similar style of Terraria, where at certain altitudes gravity isnt as intense. Slightly redundant. Also, how would you explain that they dont take damage higher up without any kind of wings to slow their fall or anything?

-Just speaking my mind. Not meaning to come off as attacking the idea or anything, just some constructive critisism ^_^

    EDIT:
Yus, I do quite like the way they go about it - Race majorly affects the way you begin your story, as it would, but as you go on, it affects it less and less until it really just doesn't matter, as it would, after meeting so many different peoples of different races and finding all the different techie stuffs. :D
