Enraged Koala - Shiplocker Disappeared!

Got the restored files to work...still have the same issue. Storage lockers are floating, ship's storage is missing, the majority of my container storage on the ship is gone with perhaps 4 containers remaining. Seems like the hotfix didnt quite work haha

shiplocker missing on the one character i checked, no crash on opening chests.

 

Same problem here, after the update no ship storage and a lot of chests disappeared Any way to solve this?

 

Not that I found. I ended up creating a new character, flying old and new characters to the same planet, then transferring all stuff to the new character. Not a pretty solution, and whatever was in the ship's locker is lost for now. I'm gonna hold onto the old character cuz I read in another post that Tiy is gonna do a hotfix for this that should make the missing stuff re-appear.

 

Just to let the dev team know, this issue is also currently happening with the character backup files as well

 

yeah.. a lot of my shiplockers,chests disappeared with sooo many items/pixels... i tried to do a backup restore, but the same items were missing. i have a ship mod.. would that be a problem?

 

I don't think so...I am playing without any mods and my backup files do not work either.

 

I'm playing the unmodded version, and while the other three chests on my chip are fine, the shiplocker disappeared. I don't know how to make backups, I just copied all of the player and universe data in the folder into a backup folder and put them back in after running the game once to see if it indeed lost us the shiplocker. It did. The backup however doesn't restore the shiplocker.

Additionally, another character of mine does still have his shiplocker. But I think the chests on his homeplanet got raided.

 

If you go to the main page you can see its a issue with nil and lua, when a list from c++ with a table of say 2,3,5,nil.nil,5,nil,nil translates into lua it turns into something like 2,3,5,nil,5 which makes items go away beacuse the list is too smal. This is all beacuse a problem with old worlds only and beacuse of the engine update which makes everything interacteble

 

it's "funny" cuz the TRUE shiplocker is disepear too...and 2 normal chest (ore/ingot).

I've also put maybe 6 shiplocker in the ship and they disepear too except 2 shiplocker (the most useless).

If someone can make a tutorial for keep them back with a backup save it will be nice (since the "last time" i copy the fully folder somewhere cuz the game make me paranoid

 

All I kept in mine was every variety of throwing weapon, all my stims, first aid kits, guns that were neat, but not what I used, and my pokeballs. :shrug:

I lost like 30 vanity items and 12 instruments

 

Aww , i've lost an full shiplocker of food/seed / a blue/purple weap shiplocker / i stop said what cuz i'm enought enraged like this .... but it's something like 7 shiplocker , + REGULAR chest too , + some chest on PLANET.

 

It's not just the shiplocker that is missing.

Storages such as wardrobes (closets), laboratory lockers, cash registers and (metal/wood) storage boxes are missing from several different worlds tested on 2 different backups (from three days ago and 1 week + few days ago).
That's what i'm mostly annoyed about. You make characters to eventually build up a base somewhere only to logon the next day to see floating boxes due to half of em being corrupt or whatever.

 

Well it looks like I'll just hold off playing starbound until this is defiantly fixed, I feel for everyone that's lost their stuff!

 

I'd check my stuff again.

 

Ship lockers . . . *sigh* I honestly wouldn't have cared if they temporarily borked this game from ass to hat as long as my ship lockers were OK.

 

i just archived my mods, player and universe foldrs and started a new character. it's a beta, i expect bugs. they are annoying, but i'm not going to let it stop me from playing.
