Enough About The Wipes

If you're not happy about the wipes for Starbound being in beta.

Step 1: Don't play Starbound while it's in beta.
Step 2: Don't make 200 threads about the wipes and why they shouldn't be wiping.

If you are hating Chucklefish Games for wiping the saves for a update, don't hate then. There's nothing to hate. They're doing it to make the game better for the future of the players. They care about you. This is the only way for them to fix the game with all the glitches and bugs that are being reported. So please, no more threads about the wipes?

I actually didn't think people would be whining about the wipes at all. They did warn people... multiple times. Even players warned others multiple times. Of course there's going to be wipes when everything can be cheated.

 

How mature.

 

Can we also stop with the "If you don't like XXX stop making threads about it" threads.

While I agree, this situation is different.
The wipes cannot be easily avoided. As such, they are not just something that the devs can just decide to "not do". The wipes happen because of changes in code that make the engine unable to load the saves. There's actually no point in complaining about it.

 

I hate to be the one to point this out to you, but you've just made another thread about the wipe.

 

I'm talking about the people who are saying: "ermagerd my save noooooooo". I know I made one talking about them, but not in a way where I'm like that.

 

The fact that you think that matters is endearing.

 

Maybe by making another thread, you may have added to the problem.

 

This is why I like my server community they wonder why there is a wipe and I or someone else explains because the change requires it and they say ok.

 

Enough with making threads about issues that literally no one is even complaining about.

Every other minute i see a "STOP DOING THIS AND DEAL WITH IT" thread on an issue that isn't even an issue to begin with. Seriously, what the hell?

 

I think it would be nice if people did stop this, however people always think their opinion will be the one to turn the tide [or want to troll and stoke the flames of a argument] and blindly post their opinionated content on the forums to keep the argument train running. Best case scenario if you cannot stand this is to not post in such topics no matter your stance on the matter [for, against, or neutral]

I'm trying to get people to stop making threads about them. I'm not even trying to add to the problem.

Today alone I've seen about 10-20 threads about the issue. That's in about 4-5 hours.

 

People aren't going to stop making threads about it just because there's a thread telling them not to make threads. People are stubborn as hell.

 

I'm gonna at least try to get people to stop making threads about them.

 

Yeah... Good luck with that.

 

Trying my hardest with this thread. It's not like I can go to the moderators and give people making threads about the wipes a infraction for making the thread.
