Unfortunately SpaceKGreen had computer trouble and has been going through repair business. Hopefully not too long.
Making this post from a junk computer. If all goes well, I should be able to resume work on the update within the next 24 hours. First I have to get the repaired part back, then reassemble the laptop. And then actually download the Glad Giraffe update, since the problem happened just before the update. Somewhat abridged story of computer issues below! -The pin within my laptop's power jack broke off within the adapter. This is the second time this has happened; the pin with this particular model is known to be weak. This meant no AC power, and the battery life isn't that long. -Called the original company for a repair estimate, since the warranty was long expired. $600+ dollars, because they apparently planned to replace the entire motherboard. Not within my budget. -My brother offered to replace the power jack with a new one; agreed since he has an electrical engineering degree. -Had to wait a while, slowly going insane. Purchased several replacement power jacks, and a new adapter that will hopefully put a lot less stress on the jack. -Brother finally arrived, took a while to get around to actually attempting the repair due to Christmas. -After careful disassembling my laptop, my brother found himself unable to perform the repair, as his soldering iron was unable to reach the temperature needed to safely remove the old power jack. Offered to buy him a new, better one as repayment, but he's kinda stubborn. -Luckily, a local computer repair shop was available; since the laptop was already disassembled and I was able to supply the replacement power jack, they offered to do the repair for cheap. Dropped the motherboard off today, will pick it up tomorrow. Also found out something neat; turns out my laptop has a second, empty hard drive bay. Got a new hard drive coming in! No more dancing around those last few gigabytes, wondering when Steam would decide to eat them for a game/client/whatever update!
Word on the Wind updated Enhanced Body Shape with a new update entry: Glad to update. Read the rest of this update entry...
for clothing like alpaca and/or hive queen(w/e it was called) are you leaving those the same; another question is what about the anatomy clothes how would those work?
For the Alpaca outfits and the Larva costume, they're mostly just a few pixels moved to cover the expanded bust. It's mostly a barely noticeable change. As for the anatomy outfit? No more details than the original, vanilla suit.
Congratulations on your mod reaching it's second year, has it been two years already? Also awesome to hear your computer issues are solved SpaceKGreen, those are never fun.
That was i was wondering when i played the nightly unstable before it moved to stable. Btw i wonder if the bed sprites when laying down will get fix because most of the beds i have always have to show one of my characters chest breast when laying down. Has that been a common problem or not?
It's a common problem, and a fix for it would look about as awkward. The bed cover sprites don't care whether the character is male or female; if I raised the covers for female characters, male characters would also have the raised covers. So at the moment, I've got no real plans for the bed covers.
Hey, Word, would you mind if I were to make some patches for this mod, for some other mods(specifically, some Star Trek ones and other clothing-adding mods I use)? I'd really appreciate having permission from you(and the other mod authors) before doing it, even if it would just be for personal use... ^^;
Well, I was simply planning on remaking the other mods' sprites to fit with this mod's sprites, for personal use, but I really just don't feel comfortable doing it without permission from you or the other mod authors.
Will there be partial support for the nightly builds? I attempted to use EBS on todays, although it wouldn't work and any save that I did use it on was inaccessible.
No real support for nightly at this time. However, EBS shouldn't be affecting characters in any way. Can you provide a log from an attempt at using it with nightly? If there's been a change somewhere in Starbound that would affect EBS...
Using the mod doesn't crash the game in any way, and all characters other than YOUR character work properly. So I'm not sure how to get a log from it. Attempting to use a previous character that had (semi)-proper breasts now is simply deleted when attempting to access the save.
