Ember rain is cool but burns houses...

I have made a little video about this.

 

It's there own fault for building straw and wood houses on a planet that rains fire.

 

I hate a lot of starbound's weather conditions, at least it wasn't an meteor strike...

And this is why I always build my houses out of Smooth Plated Blocks.

 

Cool stuff. While I love my regular rain homeworld, one with ember rain would be pretty sweet too.

Space Junk no damage? It should do like, 1 damage at least per hit, IMO.

 

Don't build out of wood on a planet with EMBER rain next time

The music is a good choice. It goes along well with the PC/NPC running in and out of the picture frame.

 

And so should fire imo...

 

I love things like this. It's a good lesson. Hopefully though they tweak it in the future so that planets with effects like this have NPC villages and such with better suited building materials.

 

Interesting! I hadn't encountered ember rain on a village before. Finding it on a world with a snow biome can be fun though, let it do the mining while you stand around and collect stuff every so often. Good for if you're doing something else and can only check on the game occasionally (don't forget to feed your character).

 

I've no problem with it, the computer in the future will tell you the weather a planet has, so I wouldn't care if they added a planet that self destructs the second you touch down as long as it wasn't tier 1 because that would be a terrible new spawn.

Hope they add "Decaying" as a weather effect, where a planet is slowly dying and eventually stops having air and the monsters turn into skeletons or zombies. I'd say it would be cool if as long as the bone dragon was out a planet would have "decaying" but people would use that to grief people's planets.
