I'm more hyped for the Notix, the fourth race on the banner... I'll say one thing.
Those aren't eyestalks, horns or ears... You'll have to wait to find out.

Also Aeg, how do I spawn Theleans? I'd really like to.

 

You can spawn Thelean NPCs with the following command: /spawnnpc thelean [NPCTYPE]

The [NPCTYPE] should be replaced with the ID code for the NPC type you want to spawn. The following types currently exist for Theleans: theleanbrawler, theleangrenadier, theleanscout, theleansniper and theleansoldier. So if you wanted to spawn a Thelean soldier, you use the following command: /spawnnpc thelean theleansoldier

Do note that the armour worn by these NPCs is outdated, and will be replaced by new gear with a largely different look. Same goes for the weapons: they aren't representative of what the final Thelean weapons will be like. If you want a non-hostile Thelean without armour, you could try using the "villager" or perhaps "base" NPC type, but I can't guarantee that they will behave as they should as I haven't really tested them myself.

 

The Centens don't work. I think it would be cool if you posted a few teasers to get people excited for new updates... I can't stress enough how much I want those Notix.

 

Aegonian! I hope I'm not repeating something someone else has already mentioned because I Ctrl+F'd several pages of the discussion forum and didn't find anything about it, but I found another meat chunk issue.

Problem: Terramart "cropshipper" was unable to send items at all.
Solution: In the "cropshipper" file "avikanmeatchunks" are labeled as "meatchunks" which changing this resolved the issue.

On a completely different topic I'm back to Starbound as of a week ago (life has been very busy as I'm sure you understand) and found your mod to be updated. Instantly fell in love with everything you've done and I am still going to make an attempt at a Russian translation for those darn Russkies. Thanks for all of your hard work!

 

I completely forgot about the cropshipper! I'll make sure that gets fixed in the next update!

 

hey is there any chance that I can store tokens of merit like I can with pixels?

 

I had originally intended for Tokens of Merit to be a currency like pixels, but that proved to be impossible to do despite the custom currency support. While new currencies can be added just fine, it's currently impossible to make them show up in the player inventory, rendering the custom currency system pretty much uselsss. I had created a Modding Help thread about it, which you can find here, if you're interested in what it should have looked like.

 

Just started playing with this mod, and it's awesome. Love the backstory of the Avikan, and their technology and aesthetic are very neat.

I look forward to seeing how it progresses from here.

Aegon, Is there a way for you to create a list of the itemname names and/or monstertype names on, say, a github page? I would really like to test the different features out without having to look for everything.

 

Some friends of mine said that my Trink looks like Danny DeVito.

Not sure if I see the resemblance.

Also, has there been any art of the Avikan or other races?

To celebrate the new version, I added more to my colony:

Water bar & self-serve restaurant, with a small, cramped sleeping quarters downstairs for poorer nomads or inclement weather.

Edit: I wanted to put a door to the owner's room, but for some reason that kept causing him to get angry and leave to be replaced by a Floran chef.

Edit 2: Oh, request/suggestion. Can the Avikan railings you see in the Starfarer's Refuge docking bay be made craftable or printable? I'm making some adjustments to the Keffrider barracks and they'd go really nice there. Also, an Avikan keypad of some kind - something like the Nyaatech ones - but with Avikan numerals would be neat to have, especially if the shield generator thing works out.

 

@Aegonian I wish I could have gotten this to you sooner seeing you just released another awesome update, but I found the cause of the issue this morning.

Problem: Clanguard Skirt Type-S doesn't show up in metalcrafting station.
Solution: { "item" : "avikan-tier6slegs" }, is simply missing from the avikan.species Seperator section.

I just uploaded three Imgur albums, which contain a collection of images and screenshots from Spore, where most Elithian Races were created for the first time! There's three albums currently available: one for sentient aliens, one for wildlife from Elithia and other planets, and one with images for a few of the planets from the Elithian Alliance. I'll make sure the railings get a crafting recipe in the next update! Keypads are also a great idea - I'll look into those when I have the time!

Don't have any such lists online at the moment, but it's something that's been requested several times, and it's certainly something I'd like to create. I don't have any experience with Github yet, but I'll see what I can do!

 

I just downloaded the non-Steam version and combed through the files when I wanted to test things myself. A Github would be more convenient though.

 

Oh man, this brings back all the nostalgia. Hm, no Avikan or Thell in those galleries? Have the models been lost? Anyway, the sentient races gallery is the best reference for the banner silhouettes, I can tell the 6th figure is a Dremeton and that the third is a Hymid. I'd say more, but I don't wish to spoil the suspense with my old forum knowledge...

Small bug report: The wiring nodes on the Trink Ship Door objects are misplaced one tile.
