RELEASED Elithian Races Mod - A Starbound Expansion 2.3.10

Ive added Elithian Race mod but when i start the game it just goes to the loading screen after the fish then crashes i really wanna use the race mod is there a way to make it work?

 

Oh come on. It has been mentioned a million times and it's on the description on bloody red that states it's not yet compatible with Starbound 1.0.

 

Can't wait for the workshop upload, 1.0 is waiting, elithian race mod. 1.0 is waiting for you, then the party will have REALLY started.

 

when it gets updated to cheerful can you include a Dropbox link in the description?

 

Were you experiencing any issues with the MediaFire download, or do you simply prefer Dropbox? I've seen some complaints about the MediaFire download before, so perhaps I should just make Dropbox the primary download source (along with the Steam Workshop, of course).

 

well honestly i didn't have any problems with drop box but i haven't been able to download anything from media fire that is over 3 megabytes for 3 or 4 month's

 

MediaFire should allow downloads of pretty big files, but I've seen people mention issues like these before, so maybe there's something wrong with their servers or something... The Elithian Raced Mod is approximately 9 MB and growing, so if you can't download anything over 3 MB in size there's no way you'd be able to download this mod. I'll just upload the mod to Dropbox for the next release, that might prevent any future issues with downloads!

I know your working hard to update this mod and honestly I can't wait for it, the races all look good (At least the ones I can see at the moment), and like they'd be fun to play around with, I know your doing your best at it and can't wait, best of luck mate.

he is working on the mod, so let him work, he knows that the mod is not updated, what do you think ?

 

oh yeah and whenever i click the download button it re-direct's me to eye coupon or somthing else

 

I'm sure this question has been asked (and answered) many times, but I was unable to find such information. I was simply wondering if there is any way to donate to Aegonian for your hard work creating such a great mod.

 

Actually, I believe this is the first time anyone's asked this, and I hadn't given it much more than a passing thought myself either. It means a lot to me that you'd consider donating, though! I'll see if I can set up a donate button in the mod description after the mod gets updated

The update is coming along pretty nicely, though I can't yet say when it'll be ready. There were probably a few hundred individual issues which caused the game to crash before even getting to the title screen, but those have finally all been fixed! I'm now working on improving the progression with new crafting tables and a few changes to the gear that becomes available at each tier. Tiered armour for the Avikan is also finally done!

Progress hasn't been as fast as I had hoped (there were even more issues to fix than anticipated, and there's quite a lot going on in my personal life as well), but I'm getting closer to a finished update every day. The update will be more than a simple compatibility patch as well - there'll be quite some new content, and I'm building the groundwork for a bunch of future content as well. I'm planning to give the custom races their own story missions at some point, so the groundwork for that has to be in place for the next update - I don't want to force people to create a new character in order to enjoy future content.

 

I can't wait for this to be updated to 1.0 this is my favorite mod

i see here you have a lot of work to do for the mod to finish it, (sorry for the not really good english) so when the mod will be updated to 1.0, i can help you to develop the mod if you want, like giving you some spriting or others thing to help you to create the MOTHAFACKA 10 RACES oups x) if you are interested tell me.

 

Thanks! Yeah I have hosted servers for years and my wife and I have even made mods for our servers. (Perhaps someday we'll even release them to the public.) We write stories, npc's, make towns, etc. so we understand the amount of work that goes into things like this and how it is a job of its own. In addition to that the Avikan are my favorite race. I have barely touched Starbound, despite being very excited for the 1.0 update, because I can't currently play as my them. xD We patiently await your next update, but with a great amount of excitement. ^^ Take care of yourself, family, friends, life, etc. first and your fans second.

So.. One.. This is a amazing mod.. Two.. Will this be on the workshop? And three... FU and Elithian Races team up to take over the starbound modding world?
