First of all : Great game. Having lots of fun slashing our way through hard and epic and crawling . I am playing an Elementalist and think the skilling/item bonus stats are a bit confusing with those runes. There are no shown requirements for Spells but if i skill meteor for the first time fireball and earth spike gets skilled to 3. Why is that so? And what exactly are my profits of having Fire + 1 on an item? Hope to get answers . Thank you for your time. Greetings, Aethilion
I'm still trying to figure things out myself, but I do know that having Fire or other element bonuses reduces the CP cost for skills of that element. Once you equip that type of gear, respec and check it out. I know less about the runes, but I think it has something to do with the higher level spells "upgrading" a rune type of the lower tier spells? Not clear on that myself. Here you go, an entire guide to the elementalist and his skills.. The elementalist uses CP in a much different way than the other classes. While the others use CP to buy skills and techniques, the elementalst, while not directly stating it, uses CP to buy runes. When you purchase a spell in CP, you actually buy the runes that make up that spell. Look next time at the runes that a spell uses. This also means that by buying one spell, you may also unlock other spells, such as if you buy boulder you unlock spike since they use the same runes. Same thing with chain lightning and energize. Now, for the text that says fire +1 and such. Because elementalists do not use CP in the same way, they have their own stats that go on their equipment. Instead of skills, their equipment is infused with runes. Essentially what this does is it unlocks the rune that it says. For instance, power +4 gives you 4 power runes, ideal for blizzard, meteor and chain lightning, as well as a few other powerful spells. This means that you no longer have to use CP to buy that rune, and said spell will be cheaper (any CP that is overused will be refunded upon equipping a piece of gear with rune bonuses). Oh good. Thank you really much. I assumed something like that (buying runes instead of the spell itself) but just didnt get how EXACTLY it works. Oh and btw., do you know if Crawl´s loot is being adapted on f.e. cold coins found or the combo medals or is it completely irrelevant for crawl?
Not sure what you mean by if crawl's loot is being adapted. Crawl loot is complete as is, if that's what you're asking. The game is totally finished and no new additions, only updates usually to make the game easier for new players. There are 2 unique gear pieces and materials for each class and 2 universal gear pieces and materials for crawl. I think one class may have 3 unique pieces but I can't quite remember. Anyway, gold coins do nothing in crawl, they're merely leftover since crawl uses story maps and randomly generates a coin in a barrel. And medals don't do anything for crawl as there are no points in crawl. You can't even get awards in crawl anyways, just the death ones which just indicate who died and when.
Hmmm. Sorry my english is a bit rusty. I meant : If i find gold coins or have a high combo in crawl mode does it give me better loot in the chest or from mobs ?
