I'm working on improving the Playable Cats mod, and while skimming through my unpacked assets, came across a few things that might be able to solve some of the issues that playing as a non-humanoid causes. The only thing is... I don't know how to fix them so that they ONLY apply to playable cats, and not the rest of the humanoids. I've been experimenting and I even tracked down the "bounding boxes" tutorial, but the problem is that any changes I make to the cat will apply to normal humanoids as well. Main examples include: Humanoid.config -- editing this to make the cat capable of going through smaller gaps than humans can. (Or at least, I'm pretty sure this is the file I could edit to make this happen... If not, what file should I be looking for?) Currently, the cat hits an invisible wall when it really looks like it should be able to fit through. Teleport animation -- is there a way to link a custom teleport animation to the cat alone? The standard humanoid teleport animation is, well, humanoid. lol portraitmask.png -- Editing this should be able to make it so that I don't have a blank icon in the corner, but the problem is that the cat is put on the "body" section of the humanoid 'skeleton.' This causes two problems: one is easy to fix; simply reverse the white and invisible sections of the image. The other, however, causes the cat's portrait to show up BELOW the actual portrait border. Oops. Should have figured that would happen, lol. If I can adjust where the cat portrait displays and link it directly to the cat, that would solve the issue. I just...don't know how. Not a modding question, but how do I add an icon to my mod page after uploading it? I accidentally clicked out of the automatic pop-up thingie and now can't get it to show up again. Will I have to update the mod to get it to show up again?
Okay, thanks. Now if only I could find something out about the other things... I've been messing with the humanoid.config and still can't manage to make my cat walk through areas that are only 2 block height.
I don't know why I didn't think of that. Thanks! I finally figured out how to make the cat walk through areas that are 3 tiles high, which I suppose is good enough. If I did it any more, I'd probably break the distortion sphere course haha. Had to raise the sprite a little to make it work but eh.
