If your like me there's no better feeling then to find a easter eggs in a game. like the portal 2 turret orchestra or fallout's crashed highwayman. Now one can hope that Starbound will have some easter eggs in it, because its these easter eggs and pop culture references that developers put in the game that makes the game so much more enjoyable.

So I want to know what easter eggs do you want to see in Starbound it can be anything from a special encounter to a pop culture reference or what is your favorite easter egg you found in game

Edit - mine would be ...IT'S A TRAP
    - or a broken R2-D2 that plays without audio the whole help me obi-wan your my only hope message
    - AL from 2001 space odyssey
    - the first dog in space the Russians sent up maybe crashed on a planet and you see him there on a beach in a lawn chair
    - dogs playing poker in space with fish bowl space helmets on
    - the Colosseum from Rome
    - the ability to go to the edge of the universe but when you get there it's full of trash and there's 2 space first nations people there and one of them starts to cry

Easter eggs and pop culture references are two distinctly different things. While they usually go together, one can exist without the other, though it's more difficult to pull off. But yes, having them in a game can be pretty fun and add a nice element of surprise to it, and Terraria easily did quite a few, but they were more directed towards pop culture references rather than Easter eggs.

I'd like to see some kind of pre-designed easter egg planets that you could visit if you entered specific co-ordinates. That would be pretty cool.

The coordinates 42 will take a person to a world where they find the staff of life, which instantly brings dead planets back to life, but it can only be used 42 times.

Oh, like a Spore easter egg. Because it's got more resemblance to that than The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.

Me personally? I'd like to see them manage pull a Death Star joke off. Like when you are nearing the goal of having your spacestation complete one of the NPCs go "The station is nearing completion. Soon it will be fully operational."

I would love to see some Halo references, such as an NPC saying that they just escaped from Reach, or the cowardly grunt.
