I saw an image that was apparently sparking a whole storm of frustrated detectives, but never went to see what it lead on to.
How many times more difficult was theirs vs. our most recent puzzle?

Bolding the most important word here. Just because it's currently that way doesn't mean that it wouldn't change later, once this stuff's figured out.

So let me get this straight. A person capable of figuring out an easter egg is someone whom the developers think they should trust, and is someone, out of the rest of the community, deserving the access to the beta? Legit.
It doesn't matter if it's the current or not. I know for a fact they wouldn't do that without first knowing that the said person can and should be trusted. That's why it's underlined.

 

I keep looking at all of the Avian customizations, and none of them go back into their easter eggs! ^. .^ hehe...

 

Ah yes, because the easter egg would really be that easy to find, also the avian one has been found

Hmm, is there a picture reference I can see? I found some results online for a movie of that name, but have never seen it. Is there a forum thread or post that explains this to someone that apparently lives under a rock? :/

Considering that most of the puzzles from Don't Starve are buried within the trailer videos which viewers then piece together before spending 1-2 weeks deciphering to receive a hint or clue about upcoming content, often in the form of a file hidden within the current version of the game's files like an as yet unused sprite or sound file... I'd say they are considerably difficult. Some of the puzzles have been a collection of dots and lines hidden in frames which are then overlayed to form a dot-to-dot puzzle. Others have been QR codes which take you to a link which has a puzzle with clues hidden within it. There have definitely been a variety of puzzles used in the Don't Starve videos and as far as I know... they have been getting progressively harder.
