Yeah, I would have figured I was overthinking it by the time I got to the ROT-13 line. Really, a three-step cipher? Also tramsan lied about the leetspeak. H3Y -> Hey is leetspeak. It just is.

EDIT: Also the A>1 step is wrong and is evidence that a certain someone was in on the whole thing, since how do you get two people making the same mistake completely by accident? I don't see an emoticon for my reaction, so here's a blank face for you to draw the "I'm watching you" guy on.

"In on the whole thing?"... You make me laugh. I'm just as pissed at Tramsan for this debacle as anyone else. The only reason I got it before Suika was because I miscounted(J>9). I didn't know about the ignoring I's and O's thing...

So if anything, I was a step behind and *out* of the loop. The only reason I won was sheer dumb luck and incompetence.

Well I'm sorry you weren't there to witness the uncovering of the truth in the IRC. I made no 'mistake' whatsoever in this. I just assumed the letter 'I' was skipped, as i mentioned in a previous post



As for tramsan's mistake, I personally think he missed the H3Y part. But I'm really close to doubting myself on this one. The clarification of 0's to O's should have been enough to get that leetspeak noticed.

 

I know this is late to the party, but the code, it was a Cesars code, there was supposed to be numbers and a plus or minus sign to tell you how many letters it's off.

Fuck I mean, if it was there it would have been possible, because what we needed to know to solve it wasn't there.

 

Meh, waste of time. This had better not have delayed the release of the game....
