All the easter eggs are in the form of typing a name into the character generator. So our target is a <= 20 or so character string, and the test for a correct answer is typing it into the character generator name box, pressing enter and something happening.

Stepping away from the code itself, and looking at the context - it appears to be a picture of a (tribal? primitive?) Avian using a computer in some sort of complex or spaceship.

Gnomechompski, IFoundAGlitch was written on a picture in the char generator update theme. So everybody's checking twitters and forum pages out. But... well, you know the result.

Immortius, but we have the info that there are O's not 0's, so the text is important. I'm starting to think that the avian has nothing to do with the egg. Metaphorically.

    1. Easter egg is found by typing a code into the name section of the character generator.
    2. Tramsan felt that Molly had made it too obvious.
    3. Zero = The letter O for all intents and purposes in the gibberish text.
    4. Molly said we do not need to know how to program, it's nothing that complex.
    5. The Picture title is 102939201. The fact that it is a palindrome is a coincidence.
    6. The picture is in the newsletter in the section about armor mods.
    7. There is a poster of a banana.
    8. There is an avian pictured with a feather cap and shoulder plates.
    9. The Avian is holding a large spear.
    10. There are flasks on a shelf.

4 year old children often see things in ways that make adults feel dumb. I don't have a 4 year old child. Someone show this to their child.

    Alternate theory!

    Answer's supposed to be obvious.
The code is the most obvious thing.

Maybe it's not hidden in the code, but the fact that there is code there. Maybe the answer contains the word code or something similar.

What if the Easter egg is really banana? We'd be overlooking it. It'd be flying like a glorious eagle right above our heads.

Oh man, I need more sleep.

  8. It's not.

    102939201 = AOBICIBOA if you go by a=1, b=2, etc...and all 0's are O's

I actually really like this, as there are bananas.

So what if it's in another language. I mean, someone posted something that really looked like another language.

This is getting tiring, let's get a professional in here.
And just WHERE did this thing about a banana in the code come from?

    I tried CodeMonkey
No idea if anyone tried it before, but it didn't work >.<

I thought it might've been like "HeyWhyUNotBananas" Didn't work though but didn't bother trying any other capitalization things. Really the code just looks like gibberish aside from those words. :\

I'm thinking we should put a bit more thought into this. But then again, we're putting too much thought into everything. So what do I know?

  19. My thoughts so far:

    • Yes you're overanalyzing it. If they were worried it was too obvious, it's likely a one-step problem (that is to say, you don't have to run the code through a cipher, get a message, and run it through 5 more ciphers).
    • Also, if they thought it was obvious, the secret name should be a coherent word/phrase and not just a jumble of characters.
    • The comic, having been written/drawn by neither molly nor tramsan, probably has nothing to do with the easter egg.
    • Seeing as how tramsan has been giving us clues when they pertain to formatting rather than the actual "puzzle", I assume the secret phrase will be in the same capitalization/spacing format as "IFoundAGlitch".
    • Personally, I think the armor shown will be Avian, seeing as how that race features most prominently on this particular edition of the Chronicle. If that's true, the secret name should be something Avian as well.
