The EASEL station has massive potential for good stuff. Unfortunately, it's difficult to use and the signs are difficult to maintain. Here are some suggestions. 1. Allow players to save signs as files that can be stored and retrieved Signs take time to make. If a player will be using a particular design a lot, they could be able to save it to a file and access it at the station. This will also open the door for signpack mods. 2. Allow players to name their signs or enable the sign's contents to be seen in inventory. Or better yet, both. 3. Add a RGB 256 interface rather than the rainbow pane. There is currently no reliable way to make colors have less saturation. This can be solved, as well as making color consistency better, by changing the rainbow pane to a set of input boxes for red, green and blue.
When I was making a 20-floor apartment building with 2 main stair-wells, I made one sign of "floor" and then all the numbers... Then to help me pick them out quicker I just put the sign on a wall with a box below it to store the rest of that same sign.. What I think would be more helpful is an actual text input.
