Early Novakids, Is it possible?

As the title may suggest, This thread is about NovaKids... And if they can be earlier on in beta, Rather than about... 9 months from now. Like, Implementing them early, Because loads of people aren't playing, Because they want to be a novakid. I'm not one of them, But I do indeed want to be a novakid, So is it possible to implement them early?

 

Nope. And I have yet to see someone not want to play because Novakid are not in beta.

It has already been established they will be there on release.

 

Alright. -Sigh- Back to making a hylotl light blue and pretending it was a novakid...

 

That seems kind of like a silly reason not to play, considering there ins't much difference between races besides look. It seems more logical to focus development on core features and progression rather than another race and weapons and armor for said race.

 

People DO do it though. (( I don't I just really want to be one, But Florans are alright, I guess. And hylotls. ))

 

Development should not be slowed just because a small minority of people can't be satisfied with the current in game races. I'm sorry you're just going to have to be patient.

Dunno about others (I wanna be a Novakid but I AM playing as a human now) just adding the sprite would be enough for me.

 

They said they'd hire another artist to do Novakid sprites so that development wouldn't be slowed.

 

Whenever the Novakid is inculded, the first thing I'll do is create one, then fire this up in the backgound:



Damn, now I want the ABC version of this...

 

One or two people doesn't count...

 

If it's an utter waste of development time then why is there more than 1 race? More races add more variety, it's not a waste of time. Granted people should still wait until the game is released for the Novakids, but still

 

Except they'll hire an artist to do it, so they can focus on other features.

 

when they finally do add novakids, my OCD is going to go insane because the character creation screen will no longer be perfectly symmetrical.

 

Unless they change the character creation ui to be radial that is.

 

Put on armor, you won't even be able to tell what race you are.

 

As it stands, there are more important things to do. And when they're released it'll be a lot more than just a sprite- racial weapons, armor, magnifier quotes, culture, NPC towns, etc. Better to do it right eventually than half-ass it now.

...Besides, they still need to make a character delete button.

 

Here's another reason: It was part of the stretch goals. aka - not as important.
