So, i figured out that, in a time of FTL space travel, where tech is the new magic and everything can be computerizated, nearly nobody asked himself:"Why can't i directly crack my enemies and turn the tide of complex events or situations?". Now, i think it's time to figure this out, in a smart yet simple way. Using a Dynamic Cracking Devices, or DCD, for example. Now, DCD are, to sum up, "cracking guns", weapons that don't deal direct damage, but can alter different situation thanks to Smart Signal Slugs, or SSS, charged shots (their power is determinated on the Potential Crack Power, AKA the number of "charges" the weapon can pack in a fully charged weapon, that must be equal or superior to the enemy "denfence") that can packs clusters of digital nastiness directly in your enemies, disabling them (at a "reasonable" battery cost), and even doing much more, thanks to the mods you can mount, upgrading your basical device! Let's make some examples... A large mob of robotic creeps is going to kill you! No problems, just draw your DCD and disable them for some time. If your device is modded and powerful enough, who knows, you could even change someone's side and make a little army of deadly robots! The locked door of a base is blocking you from the delicious loot inside a base/room/colony! Easy peasy. Use a DCD to stream a flux of data directly inside the wiring. If it's not that complex (complexity is calculated on components), you'll roll inside in a matter of seconds! An evil player beamed down a mech and it's trying to shredding me! Charge a long shot and gaze upon that weapon system jamming like fly in a bee ocean, or see how their aiming programs shut down, slowing the turnings and locking the line of fire! Then come out and wreck it hard! Oh noes! Flying wrongdoers joined the party! Skill-shot them, hear the silence of their motors and see how Mother Physics let them hug the floor thanks to gravity! Just mind the explosions. A Glitch want to see the colour of your lungs!Duh, they're near life-like, mate. Sure, unpack your DCD, also look for some sewing cord... Thanks to the disabling mechanics, the possibilities showed by the DCDs are endless, in PvE and PvP. Obviously, we are talking about mid-late game arsenal, crafted and modded only with the finest mechanical and electrical parts. Not exactly the easier gears to acquire in the universe.

seems a little over powered for Multiplayer and Single player. A large mob of robotic creeps is going to kill you! : instead of making it easy quickly you can think fast and still win. The locked door of a base is blocking you from the delicious loot inside a base/room/colony!: i have some friends who like to take what they want, i don't want my base to be looted for the lols. doors work the same way that all other doors work in the game so it'd be funky to figure it out A Glitch want to see the colour of your lungs: No, just...no. would make fighting the glitch species stupidly easy. it's been suggested before, sure. not in so much detail but still suggested before. the fact you can even pvp with this system makes me sad. mechs would make a player battle field supper fun.
Yet, i want to give an alternative, some CC, something more. That's why i'm suggesting. I think i'll have to explain: every Device have a Potential Crack Power. If this valor is equal or superior to the complexity of the door or the circuit behind it, it will open it. So, you just have to work with some wiring to have a proper defendable entrance. I tried to use a witty way to say you cannot disable a Glitch. Sorry, i wasn't clear. The fact we don't have disabling in PvP saddens me, instead. Shooting is fun, but shooting forever isn't.
So you want a magical weapon that can solve any problem. I don't think this is a very good suggestion.
This is a good suggestion in regards to a weapon or device that could disable other people's techs. It would be invaluable for defending against flying\dashing foes. It could add more depth to fighting NPCs with powerful tech, if you could disable theirs or they could disable yours. I intend to post a separate suggestion about tech disabling features. Perhaps it could even drain their energy reserves\ stop them from regenerating for awhile but I think some weapons that drain energy are already in the works, but I'm not entirely sure.
