Dying from one-hit-kills, why?

    Two things.

Firstly, all of a sudden I'm dying by on-hit-kills for seemingly no logical reason while exploring an underground temple. Is this a bug or what because it's pissing me off. This has only just started, before this it took a few shots from bad guys to take me down - not so anymore. I'm wearing Trailblazer armour.

Secondly exactly how many pixels are you supposed to lose on death because that quoted 30% is way off the mark.

I had 42341 pixels which went down to 29659 after death. That's a loss of 12682 pixels - that is not 30% of 42341.

So bad is the situation that I'm now having to spawn my pixels back after being killed because I'm suddenly no longer able to survive an attack for some reason.

    It's approximately 2/7, which is approximately 28%.

Unless im mistaken trailblazer is the armor from the manipulator table right?

The manipulator armor has the highest energy value of the 3 armor paths, but it balances that fact with having the weakest defense (health) of the 3 path's (If your moving to a new danger tier that can result in instant deaths, depending on foe).

If you want a more sturdy armor try either the accelerator table (middle ground between defense and energy) or seperator (good defense but poor energy).

30% of 42341 is 12702.3, or 12702 for gameplay reasons
meaning you actually lost LESS then 30%

trailblazer sounds like a novakid armor, but could you confirm what its made of?
manipulator armor has very high energy, but pretty much no armor, so you have to kill things before they get to you
accelerator armor has a balance between armor and energy, allowing you to take a hit but keep guns firing at the same time
seperator armor has massive health and armor, but very little energy, very few things are able to oneshot you with this armor on

Thanks. I thought maybe my game had gone mad!

It is made from rubium and is a human armour. I chose it because I was tied of my energy draining so quickly but now realise it is crap against defence. Not so bad for exploring (apart from the Floran prison I just got my ass kicked in) but totally rubbish for the missions.

So I guess the accelerator armour is the best all rounder then? Are there any other ways to increase how much energy you have? Anything for the backpack slot for instance, or carrying something in my inventory that increases it. Likewise for health?

I personaly like the accelerator armor (it gives me enof energy without instant dying). But most people argue that theres no reason to choose it (that full defense or full energy is allways prefearble).

I think some foods might do this, but I dont know what extend they do it or what foods
    the effects are also temporary

I'm kind of stuck. I have a mission to find a moon emblem (don't tell me where to find one! I want to find one on my own) and there are no other missions for me at the outpost after crafting that rubium armour.

I've got loads of diamonds, uranium, plutonium, solarium and the three armour type ores. What armour can I make from these? I don't appear to have any new crafting schematics so I presume I have to find this moon emblem before I can craft higher tier armour. What about crafting weapons - I've only got guns I found and haven't crafted any yet. When I made the trailblazer armour (manipulator) I could only see staves for crafting a no guns.

Once you have legendary armor you've hit the top tier that exists in the game. The three stations make different types of weapons, staves, guns, and melee, but you can find better if you look hard enough (like my 1100 damage rocket launcher and 1300 damage grenade launcher).

Your armor isent the last tier, its the one before that.

    Theres 3 endgame armors types.

Impervium armor (violium and solarium alloy. The ultimate seperator armor).
Cerulium armor (rubium and solarium alloy, The ultimate manipulator armor).
Ferozium armor (aegisalt and solarium alloy, The ultimate accelerator armor).

The direct upgrade to trailblazer (rubium armor for humans) would be the wanderer unless im mistaken (ceriulium armor for humans). But it still has weak defence.

If you want to craft seperator or accelerator armor you will need a seperator or accelerator bench. You get the crafting schematics for said benches by finding some of the base ores (violium and aegisalt). The ores are found at the same worlds you find rubium.

If you want weapons the manipulator bench only makes staves, if you want guns you need the accelerator bench, for melee weaponry its the seperator bench.

    Awesome, thanks.

I had enough ores to make all three benches. And enough for accelerator, separator and manipulator armours and made enough impervium compound to craft the universalist armour which has 300 health, 210 energy and 350 defence...nice . Shame the energy is pretty low though, at least it's higher than violiums 180.

Now, if only there was an armour with the energy rating of rubium (manipulator) and the defence of impervium (separator)!

but that would be over powered! (the answer is mods though)

Of course it would be. But for end game armour it would be pretty sweet wouldn't it?

I somehow doubt they will make a overpowered armor. But on the other hand, if the biome chart on the blog is still somewhat accurate (planned content), they will add another ore after the current ones later (the ultimate ore). So who knows.

(The ultimate tier will also include worlds from all biomes, with possible tentacle sub biomes. And the endgame planet will be a tentacle planet).

just take some cerulium armor, and plate it with impervium, AND I AM INVINCIBLE!

Wasn't there a Prismium ore teased at one point? Odds are good that the current armor progression isn't the end of it and that there'll be another set up upgrades or just a balanced super-armor.
