    Hello Starbounders,

In today's daily update, Tiy mentioned that you can dye weapons different colors. So now comes the discussion!

Which type of dyeing would you prefer? I'm gonna mention three, but I'm sure there are other ways to do it:

    1. Have a few basic colors, like a green and a red and a purple, minecraft style.

    2. Have a bunch of colors, but you have to unlock them or find resources or something, Guild Wars 2 style.

    3. Choose from a full color spectrum.

Or maybe some crazy combination! What do you think?

This was mentioned before as far as i know, and i think there are 12 colors (same as minecrafts chat color scale) wich i think is good enough

I agree, if there's too much I spend too much time trying to choose. I spend wayyy too much time coloring my armor in GW2.

    Full color spectrum please

I'd also like a "trail" color attribute that causes this as the character moves.

I think thats just too much, in the end trails will annoy you and people will get the weirdest ugly looking colors just to troll

I wouldn't mind a full colour spectrum... but on the condition that you have to craft custom dyes from different types of plants and materials. That way, we'd have to search around different worlds and test different items out to find out what colours are available to us. Knowledge about rare colours might then be worth trading with other players, such as planet location, material, etc.

I'd have to go with unlockable colour spectrum. There is nothing like the feeling of finding that rare colour that ties off your 'style' perfectly.
