Found this by accident, almost certainly a bug and will probably be eventually fixed. This allows you to duplicate any amount of your's or other's items. How this works is it creates a cloned version of another players ship that you can steal stuff from and it won't effect their real one. Step 1. Find a server that you and a friend can join. Step 2. Invite your friend to your party and beam to their ship. Step 3. But the items you want to dupe into some form of storage. Step 4. Get your friend to disconnect from the server. Step 5. Take your stuff as well as anything else you want, get your friend to join again. The items will all still be in their ship and you can then get the duped items back, you also get to take anything you want of theirs!
Why is this in the modding section? This is a well known bug, but fixing it is as easy as ejecting people out of ships when someone logs off.
