If I update the mod will it delete/refresh my universe? I'm cautious since I've actually grown attached to it.

You won't have to delete the universe, don't worry. Just don't forget to delete the old files when updating to newer versions or it might cause bugs.

Thanks! I'll just delete the old folder in my /mods and drop this new one in there.

As far as new dungeons go, have you thought about catacombs or actual dungeons? Maybe even have them in modules that can spawn in different variations. I can't imagine this would be too simple though so feel free to disregard the idea.

Details, my friend, i need them. Nothing is too hard that can't be done, it just takes some time.

First thoughts that came to mind are Glitch dungeons. It's a perfect opportunity to bring in RPG dungeons to Starbound. These could be massive dungeons built by the Glitch for various purposes; torture, preservation, captivity, storage, secrecy, anything the Glitch might want to put in a maze of underground rooms. At first I imagined them being pretty huge but the idea struck me to make the modular. Make a few different entrances, many different rooms, hallways, and chambers, and then have a way so that they generate somewhat randomly each time. This way each dungeon will feel like a somewhat new experience.

I think there are already a few dungeons in game but I'm not sure how many varieties of them there are, and I don't *think* there are Glitch ones. I might be wrong, still exploring the 'verse.

Similar idea with catacombs, only a different theme. Everything could be dead or mostly dead in them. It would be a nice place to use the bone and "corrupt" blocks. I definitely haven't seen anything on catacombs, and they'd be a wicked addition.

The one with "no escape" on the wall? i tought it was a destroyed building.
On a sidenote, i never saw any of your dungeons yet and i visited 5 planets since the new update.

I think I've run into a couple of his dungeons in my journeys and I'm still in the Alpha Sector.

Hey, would you be willing to try at a "city" type of layout? Like, a really sleek and developed area with mixed races walking around? Lots of shops, lots of development...if you really wanted to go all out, you could make secret tunnels beneath the city as a "dungeon"...It's probably wayyy to much work for you, but that's my idea.

    I have a few ideas:
    • a sunken ship
    • a small shrine made out of soft bricks with a chest
    • a big abandoned library
    • a pyramid (shape similar to a Mayan pyramid) with three floors and a shrine with a treasure on top
It's maybe hard to understand how I imagine it, but I might post a picture of a pyramid and a shrine soon.

The asteroidfield is pretty empty at the moment... I think its the perfect place to find some (inhabited) spaceships!
Everybody knows you can hide Spaceships in asteroidfields after all.^^

    As for details:
    • A human Mining-Ship which is there to crush Asteroids, extract the metals found and maybe transform the rock into building materials to sell them
      • Large, clunky thing with thick hull to withstand asteroids, lots of machines and metalcrates. Most crates contain asteroid rocks, a few have ores and the "treasure" of the dungeon will be various bars of metal (steel, silver, gold, platinum and rarely aegissalt and upwards)
      • Depending on the crew its possible to design variants of mining ships: Clockwork-Ships for the Glitch, Pyramid-Ships for the Avian, etc...
    • An Apex-Spy/ReconShip, which is basically a small, high-tech ship hiding between asteroids in order to spy on something
      • Small, streamlined corvette which might rest on the surface of a larger asteroid in order to avoid leaving energy traces behind which might be detected. After all, this is top secret!
    • A stranded ship inhabited by Florans who try to lure in other ships with the obligatory Distress-Call-trap
      • Medium-sized freighter with lots of containers, crates and other appropriate stuff. Might come in two variants: vine-covered/overgrown and pristine.
    • A strange structure which might be a pirate-base or something else entirely:
      • Variant A: something that looks like a giant building that was thrown into space after the planet it was standing on exploded. Now its (robotic) guardians defend it against intruders (Treasure might be rare techs or high-tier items. Or the remains of previous explorers...)
      • Variant B: That isn't a moon! Its a Deathstar!!! (Which would be an obvious place to fight an unknown, random person with strange powers and a lightsaber. The treasure would be the lightsaber dropped by the boss and/or another weapon)
    • A space-station build by one of the races (Maybe Hyotl since there is no stuff about them?). Spawns in multiple variants:
      • Variant A: A peaceful version with Traders, hydroponic-farmers, miners, etc...
      • Variant B: A hostile version with Slavers/Pirates/Special Forces/rampaging robots etc...
      • Variant C: A damaged, empty version without any inhabitants. Has structural weaknesses and holes that need to be patched up if the player wants to live there.
    • A very strangely formed piece of rock, with a hidden treasure chest at the center. The piece of rock contains absolutely no ores since it was artifically created or prepared by a long-gone person.
      • It could be formed like a giant "X", a perfect sphere, triangle, eaglebeak, frog, flower or whatever form might be a reference to one of the races.
      • Not every asteroid contains a treasure chest: Sometimes you can find high-tier ores at the center, and sometimes you find... nothing. Even space has its trolls!

This is what I was able to think of at the top of my head. Other then that I'd suggest some underground dungeons, that spawn at specific heights (where the layer behind the BG changes) or at/in the planets core.
A powerstation or a prison for a strong boss maybe.

Asteroid Fields is way too plain. Only dungeon in there is just nothing but a gun for free. I'd would like to see either
    - Inhabited Station: Basically a large station with a bunch of people(Insert Type of race) in the asteroid field.
    - Floating Debris : Some Debris floating in space, should have some minor treasures.
    - Satellites: Obviously a satellite , should carry some high tech equipment in them for observation purposes.
    - Space Outpost: A space outpost for observing space.
    - Abandoned Station: Same as the Inhabited station, but with more obliterated holes , and some nasty stuff in it.

would be a good idea to make it compatible with the expanded asteroid fields mod, the modder who made the mod which the chucklefish developers incorporated into the game. The developer came back and expanded on asteroid fields a bit making them a bit more populated.

Is there anyway you could add support for the biomes added by the mod "Variety is the spice of the universe"? And wastelands mod?
