Due time for Hylotl intro?

im not a big Hylotl fan and I cant force myself to read most of the post here but they likely don't want to spoil anything about the Hylotl so there not revealing anything

 

I think they are like the Drell from Mass Effect, they have gills to breath under water. But again, as far as I remember they need special clothes for this.

 

I think something fishy is going with Hylotl. We need to go deeper.

Back on topic, I do find it borderline stupid that we have yet to get the lore for the Hylotls or any mention of them. According to how the races are set up in the character select screens, Hylotls were supposed to be the fifth. Then the Glitch took the number 5 slot. And then the Novakids took the number 6 spot. I would think that they were scrapped entirely if the devs didn't play as one once in a blue moon.

I don't have a clue what they have in store for the Hylotls, honestly. But it better be good enough a reason to delay it as long as they have. I'd reconsider my purchase if they got a sloppy, less-than-stellar lore after all this time.

Yeah, you dolphinately need to brush up on your pun skills, man. Even I cod do better than that. What's the porpoise of making a joke if you're gonna scale it back to 1 or 2 puns? Halibut I show you a thing or two about reel-y making people laugh. Let minnow if these are two intense for you, cause I'm about to reinvent the whale. You don't have to be a brain sturgeon to come up with these, but once you start... You're gonna be hooked. As you can sea, they're kind of addicting. Now don't be koi, come on and catch up before salmon else beats you to the punch.

 

I always thought that they meant that they wouldn't be showing us any more intro cut scenes when they said that.

 

They are probably not fish people, but amphibians. considering the name Hylotl is similar to Axolotl, it would definitely suggest it. Axolotl's are a sort of mexican salamander, so yeah. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Axolotl
so it would be safe to assume that they are just oriental themed amphibians.

 

I think there are a lot of things that they are not showing us or talking about (or even hinting at) to avoid spoilers, which is good. This seems to be a big thing for Tiy.

However, I don't really consider the race lore as spoilery, and hope we see the Hylotl lore soon.

 

I don't know if showing us the intro for a race would be considered spoilers, since that is the first thing we see when we make a new character.

 

They'll probably show us a summary for the hylotl lore like they did for the glitch and floran.

I've been feeling the same way. Quite honestly I'm finding it hard to be too attached to any one of the species descriptions. Anyway, I feel the Hylotl definitely need a bit of lore. Would like to know at least something beyond what they look like.
