Dual Use Two-Handed Weapons

I just found an "Unwanted Tickler," a two-handed "uncommoncrappybroadsword." It has the poison skull on its picture, and, as expected, inflicts poison when you attack with the left mouse button.

The interesting part is when you attack with the right mouse button: it does burn damage instead.

Anyone else encounter weapons with this kind of behavior?

A whole bunch of weapons have alternate attacking states based on whether you're using L or R. Including one handed weapons.

I had dual lightning daggers once where I had to have one in the L because in the R it was poison. Which I did not want, as poison is pretty awful late game while lightning is pretty awesome.

But yeah, point is it's a very very common occurrence, and the only thing odd about it is that there's no tooltip explaining that certain weapons have two elemental effects.

 

I think every single weapon that i've found with an elemental effect has had a secondary function, and i've come across dozens. I'm at the final tier of equipment and i don't ever recall seeing any weapon with an elemental effect to NOT have a secondary use.

 

I found a one handed posion one that uses the, eyeball in my right hand.

This is a beta behavior of elemental weapons.
Chucklefish is planning on adding other right-click functionalities for two-handers at some point.

 

Alright. I guess without the tooltips, it must have just escaped my notice; I'll make sure to pay closer attention from now on.

 

I had a two handed sword that shot out energy balls. When I right clicked it was a flaming sword of fire.
