Modding Discussion Drozolian Fan Page

Hi Starbound Community!

As you may or may not know, @Relten has assembled a team of modders to help work on the amazing Drozolian Race.

Drozolians are a race of crystalline beings, bearing from the frozen planet of Stiatov. They can be found in many colors, but usually tend to be found in a white coloration, as to blend with the frozen wastelands of which they thrive. Even though they originated from colder climates, Drozolians are able to quickly adapt to almost any environment..this means that there is no planet a Drozolian can't inhabit.

New innovations in the drozolian nuclear programs have brought a pseudo "Golden age" to them.

This custom race is planned to have lots of cool, atom-punk themed items, with a Soviet twist!

We would really love this Race to get a decent fan base, feel free to post your own works of art, lore, ideas and suggestions. We will keep people up-to-date with the latest mod progress and release information on planned items/weapons! There is also a planned custom ship to be added in later updates.

Sure, in whatever downtime I have... I'm already in a slump for modding, I need a break.

Toss me an idea, some basic design plan, and I'll try to work something out.

 

No pressure, we just want to get a new release out soon

 

Once I decide on the tiers, finish customization, and have some more codex entries, and just content in general...I will update the mod officially.

Then we work on some of the more unique stuff.

 

What type of things do you want in codex's? Scientist entries? Soldier's war journal? send in conversation

 

Isn't this what the Discussion thread of your mod is for?

Why does your mod deserve its own fan thread, when every other race mod, even those much larger than yours, does not?

 

Because none of those mod makers thought to make one?

 

Maybe the makers of those mods/races didn't think about making one? Plus I don't think many people even use discussion pages because of how out of the way they are. And i don't think you should judge who "deserves" a fan page...

 

Most probably realize that they just don't need one.

"Out of the way"? For almost all mods, the Discussion page is extremely easy to access, considering that it is directly linked from the mod page:



If a mod is popular enough, it will, most definitely, receive plenty of posts in its related Discussion thread. There are plenty of examples for this - even mods like the Vespoids, released May 9th, have gotten significant attention in their Discussion threads. Some, like the Orcana, have even gotten fan-art there.

In comparison, think about how much more annoying it is to access this thread versus one directly linked on the mod page. One has to intentionally browse through the forums to get to it, instead of a single click from its related page. This gets pretty damn annoying if you have to do it several times over. Trust me on that, as I am a person who browses these forums like mad.

Please take this discussion to the related Discussion thread. I'm sure it could use it, in comparison to spamming the Modding Help section with what is pretty much definitely Discussion on the mod.

 

This page is to help build a fan base, promote the mod, so that the discussion may be more popular.
Also This section is called the Mod Releases/Modding help section...
Plus if there was really that much of a problem with it, I'm sure the mods would've moved it quite a while ago

 

Update the mod with more content and the discussion will come.

And this, specifically, is the Modding Help section. This forum has a subsection called "Mod Releases/WIPs", explaining the name.

Moderators respond to the Report button, or by occasionally glancing at forum sections. This thread has been up for less than three hours during what I consider to be the "dead" hours of the forum where few moderators are online due to sleep schedules and work and such. It will probably be merged into the Discussion thread.

 

well i don't see what your problem is, if its misplaced, it will be moved... eventually. I appreciate the concern you have for our discussion page, thank you very much
