    The drop rates for static cells, phase matter, cryonic extra, RAM chips, and scorched core are all way, way, way too low. There's nothing more tedious than planet hoping to find the creature that drops the material you need (having looked it up in the wiki because the game will never tell you where it is), and then - assuming that you find the right creature - you wander back and forth in the spawn area, killing creatures and hoping to god you hit that 5% drop rate soon. Combat is not that interesting,e specially against creatures, so the whole procedure is just dull.

    I just looked at the assets since that sounds off, and here's an excerpt from Anglure (which I randomly scrolled to);

    {"weight" : 0.899, "pool" : "basicMonsterTreasure"},
    {"weight" : 0.10, "item" : "staticcell"},
    {"weight" : 0.001, "item" : "anglureaf"}

    Weight is calculated to where "1.0" is the same as 100. So that means the Anglure's drop chart is 89% basic treasure, 10% unique item, 1% action figure. Most other monsters have similar chances. One in ten isn't THAT bad, but for how much we need for some items, it definitely feels like a Korean MMO with all the grinding.

    frustrated. its always when you need want something it can never be found..........be it moon emblem on the stable or static cell on the nightly.

    I've checked about 5 different alien planets and desert planets for the Voltip...that yellow/red pyramid headed mechincal lifeform that shoots electricity sometimes.
