Drilling and excavation equipment

Or perhaps build a structure that fulfils a certain criteria(ie x high, x wide with x equipment) that begins automatically mining when wired up. Visit planet later and explore the depths that your rig/rigs have revealed. So many juicy possibilities in this game

 

Uhh, thats a great question. Theres boats at least, but thats nothing to build a base from. Maybe if you run blocks from the ocean floor up to the water surface, it would be stationary like a land base would be.

A weighted bubble that sinks to a certain level would be cool. And then connect the bubbles with flexible hallway tubes. Sounds crazy and sketchy, not to mention dangerous. Maybe they can at least serve as a checkpoint while you're scuba diving.

 

OH THAT IS AWESOME, kinda like how they build underwater tunnels in real life, in sealed sections then once the sections are connected and sealed on the outside the seal on the inside is broken allowing travel through (yes thank you bill nye the science guy). And has anyone seen any evidence of an air meter yet? it would be very cool to build along the bottom, and have to use some sort of submersible or enclosed vehicle to reach your underwater lair of mad science and evil (or just H.Q. whatever works for you but that since vehicles have to be constructed would keep some intruders out (or just play a mean trick on friends). yeah i think it would have to be stationary though especially after watching the "player pushed by water effect" video and seeing how blocks can be thrown about by explosions, i imagine that having a non anchored floating base ramming into the shoreline could be very tragic, but somewhat cool at the same time

 

^ unless you have stationary drills attached to the sides then whenever your base hits a wall it would just mine it

Not %100 on topic but you could train your pet to swim and mine or build to help you with the process whatever it may be. I read they will probably learn skills by hanging out and watching what you do...something like that.
