Hi all, I would like to see placeable drawbridges in Starbound. Off the top of my head there are two types of drawbridges; The medievil style - And the modern style - The medievil drawbridge will give your home / evil fortress a 'classic' feel. Not only could it be used for the crossing of moats, but also man made canyons, keeping unwanted monsters at bay (also the pesky black knight). The modern drawbridge would be used in similar circumstances. Although rather than leading into a building, it could be placed at the center of bridges or standalone depending on your needs. Anyway that is my idea, please throw some feedback at me
you mean like a drawbridge connecting to a castle like this or do you mean a random drawbridge in the middle of nowhere
Sorry I guess I took for granted people would read the OP. I am suggesting 2 kinds, the type you have depicted above, also the modern style that would be raised for ships to pass under (Obviously ships wouldn't pass under in Starbound). I did try and show that through pictures above, but unfortunately I am music artist, not a literal 'artist'. Cheers.
Maybe this will sound cool to you: A Drawbridge that needs something above it and it is pulled upward, sorta like a crane and a crate except it is a flat bridge. Would also have some cool traps set up with it, and nice idea too
I like both of them, but mostly the modern one. The medieval one would be perfect as a fortification though. (Possibly could also be upgraded to shoot arrows / cannon balls when it is closed - Would definitely be interesting)
