Dragon boss theory.

In Starbound there are a few bosses and all make fairly obvious sense in the science fiction setting; except the dragon made of what seems to be bones. I have a theory as to how it works going on the assumption that it is not cybernetics of some sort. Though it seems un-plausible I believe it may be possible that the bone-like appearance is in reality an exoskeleton of sorts containing a nerve system, with vital organs stored within the large skull of the dragon. It has the ability to "fly" with its bone wings by way of creating an internal magnetic field strong enough to levitate the large beast giving the illusion of flight. If you're reading this I would like to know what flaws do you see in my theory and if you have one what is your theory on how this thing works.

You summon it with a glitch Decoy Princess so that leads me to believe it's a glitch dragon.

 

No "Undead" option?

 

No none of this theories can be proven scientifically option?

 

Cyber Dragon. Like a Cyberman, only a dragon.

 

A and C are certainly out, because it's been done before and it looks nothing like that.

 

Glitch dragon people.
Glitch are medieval and so are anything related to them. Dragons are just part of the whole castles and dragons theme. So it's most likely a robot made like the glitch were.

 

I'd have to agree with the people who are saying it's a Glitch Dragon. Makes sense given their cultural style.

 

I always just thought it was a sort of Glitch-esque creature(Created by the same creators as the Glitch). It just always made sense to me.

 

Hopefully the game will be more story driven later on so we can actually understand where most of the bosses are coming from.

Clearly it's a Dracoliche...which is undead, which is missing from the list...

 

I'd think it was a Glitch dragon as well, but I'd really like to see it emphasized a bit more.

 

The dragon runs off the same ambient energy that lets you fire a gun without bullets and shoot a bow without arrows and turn yourself into a mech.

 

The reason I chose to stay away from things like "undead" and "Glitch-dragon" are because neither have much to back them up, If it were undead then it would need to have a semi-functional set of brain and muscles given that this isn't a fantasy setting bones aren't exactly getting up and walking around. The problem with it being a "Glitch-Dragon" is simply that the Glitch were made by a race we know little about, but we do know they created experimental civilizations, and not mechanical dragons.

 

I hadn't thought of that one, but I'll definitely look into it.

 

I think it's a Glitch dragon. I mean there ARE other computer-controlled flying skeletons ingame (I got a circuit board once from killing a skeleton bird in an avian tomb), so a computerised Gltch Skeledragon is highly possible.

 

But you mentioned it yourself now, it could also be a computer-controlled Avian creation, especially since it's a flying skeleton.
