I really really like this suggestion and the art is one of your best (I think) but for the pixel art I think you could do better

 

I dunno, I think the sprites are alright...wanted to keep them within the humanoid shape and all.~

 

The sprites are fine as is, and match up with the "Humanoid" shape just fine...
and looking at them as I write this, I can't even say "meh. give us a version 2.0" because they look alright to me.
I can't even write out the damn sentence without erasing it.

Yeah, I see. I also think it's because that at first I thought it was a drill thing. Lemme look at them again and come back.
EDIT: Now I think that the one with the armor looks amazing I think they look sorta weird without armor. Buuut that's just my opinion.

 

So, anyway, I'm making a Darkbound wallpaper where Suggested races fight their Darkbound counterparts... Yeah whatever. It's a dragon with a different pose, a sheild and a spear.
